Nina held Orion close, staying by his side.

Nina bit her lip. If others were afraid to go, she would go herself. If it meant saving her son, she was willing to risk her life.
With that resolve, Nina set out immediately.
Nash, seeing her heading toward the mountains from afar, quickly caught up. “Where are you going?”
“I’m going to find Seven-Leaf Clover,” Nina replied directly, adding, “I can go alone. You stay here with Orion.”
“No, I’m going with you,” Nash insisted firmly. Nina, not wanting to waste time arguing, nodded and agreed to let him accompany her.
The environment where Seven-Leaf Clover grew was extremely harsh. The deeper into the mountains they went, the more likely they were to find it. It was certainly not near the outskirts. Nina pressed on without stopping, her goal set on the deepest part of the mountain. They walked for what felt like an eternity, the atmosphere growing increasingly eerie. There was no wind, yet a chill seemed to seep into their bones.
Nash took off his coat and draped it over her shoulders, urging, “You should go back. I promise I’ll bring you the Seven-Leaf Clover.”
“No, I’m not going back.”
This time, it was Nina who was resolute. From the beginning, she had no intention of letting anyone else take on this task, not even her husband. Besides, if there was danger ahead, she could not let Nash face it alone. The cold grew more intense, and a thick fog began to blanket the path ahead, making it impossible to see. Nina looked up, trying to find the sun to orient herself, but the fog was so dense that the sun was completely obscured. A sense of unease settled over her. She quickly picked up a rock and began marking the trees as they moved forward.
They walked back to back, marking the trees as they went, constantly on guard for wild animals or venomous snakes. Thankfully, the journey was uneventful. As night began to fall, Nina suggested they find a place to rest. Nash lit a torch, and they spotted a small clearing not far away, just big enough to settle in for the night.
The clearing was modest but sufficient for their needs.
Nina took out some dried rations she had brought with her and handed a piece to Nash, nibbling on her own.
“You’ve come well-prepared, even bringing rations. You’re definitely different from before.” Nash spoke with genuine admiration.
Over the years, Nina had become a completely new person before him. While her love for him remained unchanged, everything else about her had transformed.
Nina had become even more exceptional.
Suddenly, a distant roar echoed through the forest, causing them both to stand up in alarm. Nash raised the torch, scanning the area.
Out of nowhere, a snake’s tongue flickered near Nina’s right side, startling her into dodging to the side. The venomous snake was not ready to give up and slithered after her.
Nina quickly circled a tree, hoping to trap the snake around the trunk. Unfortunately, after just two loops, the snake seemed to lose interest in the game and continued chasing her along the ground. “Run forward, quickly!”
Nash saw several pairs of eyes watching them through the torchlight and immediately warned Nina to flee.
Sure enough, the next moment, a tiger burst out of the underbrush, sending them both sprinting for their lives.
