Chapter 1110

“I’ve seen plenty of people like you. But you know, child stars only have a short window of fame. If you don’t cash in now, when will you?” Miss Flores did not bother to hide the disdain in her eyes. Nina, however, didn’t even look at her and instead started chatting with Lulu about where they should go for lunch after the shoot. This completely infuriated Miss Flores.
Just as she was about to lash out, the director on her set shouted, seemingly frustrated with an actor’s poor performance. Miss Flores quickly rushed over to handle the situation.
Lulu seized the moment to warn Nina, “Try not to confront her directly. It won’t do us any good. Please, Nina, be more careful next time.”
“Am I making things difficult for you? I didn’t think it through. I’ll pay more attention to that in the future,” Nina replied, glancing at Miss Flores, who was now fawning over the director. The contrast between her behavior towards them and her attitude with the director amused Nina.
This was reality, plain and simple.
After the commercial shoot, Orion officially entered the entertainment industry. However, according to Lulu, to truly become a star, he would need to act in dramas or appear on variety shows.
Acting in dramas was manageable, requiring some skill but offering flexibility. Variety shows, on the other hand, were different. They required consistent participation and couldn’t be filmed in segments.
Lulu suggested that Orion join a variety show to increase his exposure. The more often the audience saw him, the better his chances of becoming memorable. This, she explained, would be beneficial for his long-term career in entertainment. Since they had already committed to this path, Nina decided they couldn’t be too picky. She agreed to Lulu’s suggestion.
When the news of Orion entering show business reached Pharaoh, he sent a massive gift. It was a large box so heavy it took two people to carry. No one knew what was inside.
The box was placed in Orion’s room. With Nina’s permission, he climbed onto a stool and slowly peeled off the tape.
“Hi there, little Orion!” Pharaoh popped out of the box, startling Orion.
Once he realized it was his grandfather, Orion wrapped his arms around Pharaoh’s neck, shouting excitedly, “Grandpa! Grandpa!”
Nina shook her head, smiling at the scene. “Father, what brings you here? And with such a surprise!”
“I’m just here for the night. I didn’t want to intrude. I’ve missed my little grandson.” Pharaoh spun Orion around in the room, the two of them immediately engrossed in play.
Knowing how much Pharaoh missed Orion, Nina let them be and went downstairs to have the helper prepare an extra dinner plate.
That evening, under a slightly different sky filled with stars, Pharaoh and Orion sat on the rooftop, silently gazing up at the night. Without saying much, their connection was in their eyes, and they were having a wonderful time.
Orion suddenly whispered in Pharaoh’s ear, “Grandpa, I can earn money now! When I make some, I’ll buy you a big present. Whatever you want, I’ll get it for you.”
Pharaoh chuckled, “You’re such a sweet boy. Grandpa doesn’t need anything. Whatever you get, I’ll love it.”
“Really?”
“Absolutely. Just remember, no matter what you do, always be polite. Be sweet to everyone you meet, okay?”
Pharaoh’s visit was not just about seeing Orion. He was worried that the entertainment world might be tough on his grandson.
Knowing Nina wouldn’t always be able to watch over him, Pharaoh wanted to make sure Orion learned how to navigate relationships on his own. The entertainment industry could be a complex place, and Pharaoh feared that Orion might suffer if he didn’t learn how to handle it. Orion listened to his grandfather’s advice, half-understanding, and smiled, “Don’t worry, Grandpa. My teacher says we should always greet people. I’ll remember that.”
