Chapter 1130

But the young man didn’t even get a chance to call for help.
After he was taken away, Nash walked over to Nina. “In situations like that, I can handle it. Why did you have to step in?”
Nash held Nina’s hand, then wrapped his arm around her waist. After being apart for five years, Nash treasured Nina even more. And now that she was pregnant, he treated her with the utmost care, as if she were a fragile treasure.
“I couldn’t stand it. With his mouth running like that, didn’t he deserve to be slapped?”
Nash wasn’t some “nobody.” Nash was the third prince of Salterra, the one Dominic had intended to groom into a future president.
If it weren’t for Nina and their children, Nash might have stayed in Salterra to take on that role. How could a spoiled brat like that young man have the audacity to belittle him?
Besides, Nash wasn’t just her husband, he was the father of their children. Of course, she couldn’t let that go.
“He did deserve it. But you shouldn’t have to get your hands dirty with someone like him,” Nash said, gently supporting her. “From now on, I’ll handle things like this. You’re pregnant, your appetite’s already not great, and if something were to happen to you, how could I face our children or your father?”
Pharaoh and Nina had become close, and Orion had grown livelier, constantly by their side. Their little family of three, now soon to be a family of four, was so happy together. Nash wouldn’t let anything disrupt their happiness.
Nina laughed softly, “You’re making it sound more serious than it is. Before, I—”
Nash interrupted her, “Don’t talk to me about ‘before.’ That was then. Now, I’m here, and I won’t allow anything to happen to you.” “Alright.”
With Nash being so cautious, what else could she say?
Later that afternoon, Nina’s parents, Zion and Julia, arrived. They brought along some homegrown chickens and eggs as gifts, knowing she was pregnant.
However, the young man’s family showed up as well. They held significant positions in the government and tried to assert their authority when they saw Nash. “Our son was hurt by you. Couldn’t this have been handled privately? Did it really need to come to this?” They had managed to get the young man out, but he had been severely punished.
Nash gave a cold smile. “Your son tried to ride on my son’s fame, then came looking for trouble, and finally tried to use his status to intimidate me. Does that sound like handling things privately?
“If he had begged for mercy, maybe I would have forgiven him. But now, what are you trying to do? Arrest me and charge me with assault?”
Nash’s lips curled into a disdainful smirk, his gaze full of arrogance, as if these people were nothing to him.
These people knew enough about Nash to understand he wasn’t just wealthy because of the York family. He had military experience and connections with influential figures, including Grandpa Henry.
And when Nash got married, there were even people from Salterra who sent wedding gifts. Upon investigation, it was discovered that Nash had close ties with people in Salterra.
They had come here hoping to make Nash back down, thinking they could accuse him of colluding with foreign powers if he didn’t.
“Nash, you’re not some naive teenager anymore.”
