Lydia asked Byron for their phones, but as soon as she got them, she realized both Parker and Rose had brand new ones.
Lydia gave a sly smile. “Playing it safe, huh? You even made sure to ditch your old phones and clean up the evidence.”

That finally got to Parker. He snapped, “You have no proof! You’re just making things up. I could sue you for slander!”
Lydia just raised an eyebrow. “Who says I don’t have proof?” She pulled a black phone out of her bag.
Parker stared at it, a sense of dread creeping over him.

But Lydia just gave him a look, borrowed a data cable from Byron, and sat down at the desk. She plugged in the phone and got to work.
