Jenson could barely contain his excitement. “Come on, let’s go check it out!” He hadn’t really believed the rumors, but apparently, Miss L was here. For real. Milana didn’t hesitate. She grabbed Jenson’s arm and marched straight ahead. Sandy paused, hanging back for just a second, then followed them. She wanted to see for herself what all the fuss was about. Who exactly was this Miss L that everyone seemed to worship?
When Milana and Jenson finally squeezed through the crowd, they saw a whole group of rich ladies, young heirs, and socialites gathered in a tight circle. Everyone was talking at once.
“Miss L, I’m from Imperial Textiles. Here’s my card. Maybe we can work together sometime.”

“Miss L, I’m such a huge fan. Could you sign something for me?”

It felt less like a party and more like a celebrity meet-and-greet. Milana grabbed Jenson’s hand, her voice low with excitement. “It really is Miss L. Hurry, let’s get closer.”
Jenson was practically vibrating, like seeing Miss L was the answer to all his
prayers. When they finally made it to the front, though, what they saw threw them off completely. Lydia and Juna were standing side by side. Juna was calmly collecting business cards, and people were snapping photos with Lydia.
Milana and Jenson just stared. What was happening? This didn’t make any sense.
Suddenly, everything clicked in Milana’s mind. Of course. The mysterious Miss L was actually Juna Davis. No wonder LYLX was so successful, and Miss L was always making headlines. With a family like the Davises behind her, it all added up. “Miss L! Oh my god, Miss Davis, you’re amazing! We really admire you,” Milana blurted, practically running up to Juna.
For a second, the whole room seemed to pause. Juna looked at Milana and Jenson, her eyes sparkling with amusement. Even now, they thought she was Miss L.
“Who do you think Miss L is?” Juna asked, a teasing smile on her face.
Milana was sure she was right. There was no way Miss L could be Lydia. “Miss Davis, isn’t it you? We only just found out. You really kept it under wraps.”
Some people nearby couldn’t help but laugh quietly. They couldn’t believe how clueless some people could be tonight. First it was the Lanes making a scene, now these two.

But then, a sweet girl in an LYLX gown walked over to Lydia, a little shy but excited.
“Miss L, I love your designs. Can we take a picture together?”
Lydia smiled gently and nodded. “Of course.”
In that instant, it was like the floor dropped out from under Jenson and Milana. For a moment, they honestly wondered if they were dreaming. How could this be possible. They’d watched Lydia grow up. She’d always struggled in school, was awkward as anything, never stood out. How could she possibly be Miss

But everyone was calling her Miss L, the name echoing all around them, until Milana
and Jenson felt dizzy, not sure if any of this was real at all.
