Jenny was stunned.
She always thought Lydia was just the Norwood family’s adopted daughter. She never imagined Lydia was actually their own flesh and blood. If the media ever found out about this, it would be absolute chaos.
Lydia seemed to catch on to Jenny’s thoughts and quickly added, “Please keep this between us. Don’t mention it to anyone at the company.”
Jenny could tell Lydia trusted her, and she understood why Lydia had to keep her real identity under wraps. It would only bring drama to the Norwood family if word got out.

Meanwhile, Blake had filmed a video of all the gifts he got for Lydia and sent it to the brothers’ group chat. Since Kylie and Cameron had been asking if he prepared a welcome gift, he sent the video to their parents too.
Kylie’s eyes lit up the moment she got the video. She didn’t even care that Lucinda was right there with her. “Cameron, look at this. These are all the gifts Blake got for Lydia.”
Lucinda, who was in the middle of massaging Mr. Norwood’s
shoulders, froze. She couldn’t help but look over. When she saw the mountain of high-end gifts in the video, she felt like she was about t explode.
Blake was the Norwood family’s heir and handled most of the company’s business. He was always so cool and impossible to read, and honestly, Lucinda found him a little intimidating. But Mr. Norwood didn’t say anything about it in front of Kylie and Cameron. He just smiled and said, “Lucinda, when you get to France, I’m sure your brother will have gifts ready for you too.”
Lucinda had always been treated like the family’s little princess. No matter who was coming home, they always brought her gifts. It was her own special privilege. Now, with someone else sharing that attention, it was hard for her to take Norwood told himself she’d get used to it eventually.
“Grandpa, Blake has always given me plenty of gifts. I don’t need anything else,” she said in a small voice, feeling a little anxious.
