Lydia just turned slightly, a sly grin tugging at her lips. “Do whatever you want.”
She paused for a moment, then tossed in, “Oh, and by the way, the head of Exclair’s already been taken away by the police. The ones you paid to smear me, they’re all in custody too. You should be glad you’re stuck in this hospital bed. Otherwise, you’d be joining them.”
