Chapter 985

Lydia pulled out her phone and shoved the surveillance video right under Ghost’s
nose.
“Around eleven this morning, you moved a group of people. This boy-the one you hurt-where is he?”
Even though the camera was a bit far, you could see the blood all over Luke’s chest. It was that obvious.
Ghost glanced at the screen and his stomach twisted.
Why did it have to be him?
“I, uh, I don’t
“Don’t give me that. I’m taking him with me today, no matter what.”
Ghost was fuming, practically shaking, but he couldn’t make a scene with Ansel and Connor watching. Tʜe source of this ᴄontent ɪs
Ansel spoke up again. “Ghost, don’t make me repeat myself. Bring him out.”
Ghost stared at Ansel, completely thrown. Why was Ansel taking the outsiders’ side instead of sticking with his own people?
“Commander, some things just don’t go through me. I really don’t know where he is.”
Connor let out a cold laugh. “After the Terra Syndicate fell apart, your boss Falcon took over fast. You’re his right-hand man. I think finding one person shouldn’t be a problem for you.”
Ghost squinted, glaring at Connor. Clearly, they’d dug up everything about him.
Ansel added, “Ghost, sometimes you have to know when to back down.”
Ghost let out a strained laugh. “Commander, I really need to ask my boss about this. Give me five minutes. I’ll call him.”
Ansel paused, then nodded. “Fine. But tell him this for me everyone here goes back today. If not, I’ll take all of you in instead.”
Inside, Ghost was cursing Ansel out. He seriously thought Ansel must be out of his mind.
“Commander Ansel, we are from the same country, but these people,” he pointed, “aren’t even from here.”
Ansel just snorted. “We’re both from
this country, but I work for our

That one shut Ghost right up.
“Go tell Falcon what I said. If he doesn’t let them go, I won’t be so nice.”
Seeing Ansel wasn’t going to cover for them, Ghost forced a smile, exhaled, and nodded.
“Alright, Commander. I’ll call him now.”
He shot everyone a look, then stepped away to make the call.
About five minutes later, Ghost came back.
He looked at Ansel, trying to look helpless. “Commander, as soon as my boss heard you were here, he took it seriously. He said to do whatever you want, help however we can. But about the boy he might’ve been put on the Aqua Dreamliner. We can’t reach them right now.”
The Aqua Dreamliner was one of Southeast Asia’s most famous luxury cruises Everyone knew the kinds of wild entertainmentit offered-stuff you wouldn’t even imagine.
Lydia’s eyes turned icy when she heard that. Her stare was so sharp, Ghost could barely look at her.
Honestly, her glare was terrifying.
“I don’t care how you do it. Contact that ship now. I want proof he’s safe, and I want
it fast.” Lydia’s voice was cold, and she never took her eyes off him.
Ghost frowned. “The Aqua Dreamliner set sail hours ago. Once you’re on board, there’s no signal at all
Before he could finish, Lydia pulled out her gun and pressed it hard against his forehead.
“Do you really want to test me right now?”
