Chapter 691

“What kind of luck did we score to get such a good-looking instructor?”
“I know, right? He’s unreal. How can anyone look that perfect?”
“Oh my god, I can’t even. Did he just look at me?”
Iceblade checked his watch, his voice cutting through the chatter, loud and clear. “One minute left. Anyone who’s late owes me fifty push-ups.”
The whole class went wild. Content orıginally comes from.net
Fifty push-ups?
Was he serious?
People were still whispering about whether he meant it when the countdown finished. Almost twenty students, a mix of guys and girls, came rushing in late. Iceblade didn’t even hesitate. He pointed at all of them and said, “Fifty push-ups, now.”
“Seriously? How can someone so handsome be so strict?”
“You don’t get it. He’s the whole ‘dangerous but irresistible’ type.”
“Exactly, that’s the vibe. He’s hot, even when he’s being tough.”
“All right, training starts now. I’m your instructor, Jay. For the next fifteen days, I’ll be running your training.”
“This training is a competition between classes. Your class’s total score will be ranked against all the other freshmen. If your class wins first place, you get early access to the school’s best learning resources. I want to see you win and claim those rewards.”
The room buzzed with excitement at that. Early access to the school’s resources was a huge deal.
Did that mean they could use the fancy labs?
Everyone knew the Capital Med School labs were packed with cutting-edge medical tech. Normally, freshmen weren’t allowed anywhere near that stuff.
If they won, though, they’d get ahead of every other first-year class. It would help with future competitions and even medical contests. The advantage would be massive.
“What if we have a classmate who can’t do the training for medical reasons? Isn’t that unfair?” one guy asked, raising his hand.
Jay answered, “That just means the rest of you need to step up. You can still take first place if you work together.”
A wave of complaints and grumbling went through the group.
The late students went off for their punishment. The rest started group training.
By eight in the morning, the sun was already blazing, beating down so hard it felt like their skin was burning.
After a whole morning outside, everyone was soaked with sweat and completely wiped out. Most students just collapsed on the grass, too tired to move. fo
Lydia’s performance was nothing special, but she didn’t look tired at all. Her breathing stayed calm and steady. Monica glanced up from where she sat on the grass, catching her breath. “Lydia, how are you not exhausted? You barely look tired.”
“I’m okay,” Lydia said.
Fiona chimed in, “Do you work out a lot?”
“Sometimes,” Lydia answered.
“Wow, I really need to get in shape. I almost passed out today,” Fiona said with a sigh.
Just then, a nearby girl gasped, “No way, Daisy’s giving the instructor a bottle of water. Is she into him?”
Another girl giggled, “Come on, Jay’s that handsome. Who wouldn’t have a crush?”
“I mean, I do, but I’d never actually go up to him.”
“Well, you might not, but Daisy’s got guts. And honestly, she and the instructor look pretty cute together.”
“Wait, he turned her down.”
