I love my man.
I love him like no other but I have to say, he is a shitty liar—okay, maybe not a liar because I haven’t asked him anything but it seems like he is hiding something from me. The move out of the community didn’t just happen. He asked me once how I felt about moving and I thought I had no right to. I mean, it would be ungrateful to leave Beau and the rest of the pack.
At least, that is what I thought but with Dar, I have been seeing things clearly. I don’t want to live my life with regrets and I know I will regret staying in the pack. I don’t like the way people look at me. I don’t like the way they treat me. I accepted it all because I didn’t know better. The stigma that just because I am an omega with no family, doesn’t make me prone to suffering and isolation. I thought I needed to stay because I had no one but I have Jabi now and I don’t need to anymore.
He doesn’t belong in the pack. I see it, from the way he acts around everyone else. There was an invite to a neighboring community. It was something I didn’t mind going but I knew he wouldn’t like it. I knew he didn’t want to go and even though he said we could—I knew he was only going to be doing it for me.

He has overcompensated so much for me. things that he didn’t believe in. I know him a lot more than I know anyone else and maybe that is because he has shown me all there is to know about him.
I know this move will be good for the two of us. Beau doesn’t want me to leave. he doesn’t want to have to worry about me being so far away—his words.

“Come on, do you want to say goodbye to anyone?’’ he asks me after agreeing to go to the beach. I can swear, I thought he would say no to my offer. I just wanted him to tell me what he had planned but in the end, I just got him to agree with me as usual.

They already know we are leaving today but it won’t be such a bad thing to say goodbye to them. “Can you do it in less than thirty minutes?’’ he asks. I raise a brow because I know this has something to do with whatever he has planned.

I go to the house and I see Beau in the corridors. He smiles when he sees me “I kinda wanted to avoid seeing you leave. why did you have to look for me,’’ he exclaims with a sigh as he slowly walks over to me.
I take a deep breath and stop in front of him “I will come to visit all the time and you can come over too. I appreciate all that you have done for me.’’
It seems like I am reading off a script and I am sure he knows I am tense. I actually will miss him the most but I think this move is the best thing for me. staying here is not what I want anymore. All I want is to be with Dar in our enclosed space with no one bothering us.
It might sound like a lonely life but Darrien filled a void in my life that was completely empty. I was in this community with all these people and I didn’t feel like I belonged. Now I have all I could have ever wanted.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah kid. I know this is what you want. You should always do what you want. Live your life for you.’’ he pats my shoulder gently and I lean for a hug. He welcomes me and my arms go around his.
“Thank you.’’ I breathe into his ears. This is not goodbye forever. It is just goodbye for a little while.

We get to the beach and he grabs my hand in his, squeezing tightly. I close my eyes as the wind hits me. the feeling very euphoric.
I know he is trying to squeeze this into whatever he has planned and maybe I should just tell him that I know about it. then he wouldn’t have to be so nervous.
“Come on,’’ he pulls me closer to him. the sky is that orange color. The one that shows that the sun is about to set. The day is almost over. I spend each day with him and each day has a different surprise. He is the best boyfriend, the best person in my life.
We get closer to the water and he smiles “Everything you wanted?’’ he asks me.
I nod my head immediately “Yes, everything and more.’’
He smiles “I wanted to surprise you but now I kind of feel like you want to stay here for the rest of the night and that will ruin the surprise,’’ he blurts out finally and this widens my smile. I already knew he has something planned. So, there was never really a surprise. Okay, there still is because I don’t know what it is.
“I’ve known all along,’’ I smile feeling a sense of accomplishment.
He raises a brow “Then why are we here? I have been thinking of how to get you to leave. our flight is in two hours and we still have to go home and pack. you are totally unfair to me babe,’’ he lets go of me and runs his hands through his hair.
He turns away from me. I walk around until I am facing him again “We can go home right now. we will make it,’’ I tell him, still smiling because he is really cute when he is nervous.
He watches me intently, the nervousness wiping off.
“I couldn’t even surprise you,’’ now I know he will beat himself off over this. “I don’t know what it is, so it still counts as a surprise,” I tell him.
He raises a brow “Really?’’
I nod “Yeah,” I lean forward until my lips are on his and I press them to his. Kissing him with all the love I can give him.
“Come on, let’s go. So, we don’t miss our flight.’’
