Blue
“Let’s go home,’’ Gyles tells me, tugging both of us out of our seats. Jabi and Darrien are still making out on the dance floor. Okay, I can’t even call this a dance floor. We are outside, In the compound. The wind is blowing heavily but the weather is still nice.
It is almost eleven in the night and maybe Gyles is right.
He pulls me up first and I pull him closer as I stand up. There are a couple of people left outside but the music has stopped and I guess it is time to end this party.
At least for the three of us.
Gyles leads us away from the scene. We don’t have to say anything to anyone but Rex still tells Darrien and Jabi goodnight as we walk the path to our house. Once we get to the front of our house. Rex runs over to the front door and opens it.
He is smiling
He is happy.
We have been so happy for the past two years.
Things have been great.
I didn’t know this kind of happiness existed. Even when I found them, it seemed like our problems wouldn’t finish but coming back to the community and having no reason to leave has made things better.
There haven’t been any serious issues.
No drama.
No betrayal.
I have been a lot more focused on my magic.
I have been focused on my relationship.
We have gotten so used to the dynamics. I understand them more and what they need more over the years.
Gyles I stubborn, he can be demanding and clingy. He likes the center of attention and I make sure to give him all the things he wants and more. Rex is quiet, oh so quiet that most times, I wouldn’t even know when he wasn’t okay. I have learned to pay more attention to him. I have learned to make sure I ask him, talk to him, to ensure that he is okay.
It has been a journey and I say that because sometimes we fight. Sometimes, I don’t know how to make the two of them happy at the same time. I try most times but there are times when I make mistakes.
Times when I don’t even know how to make things okay.
Times when I feel like they deserve better.
Tonight is not one of those nights, most nights are easy. The good days surpass the bad, so I don’t even think about it.
Gyles tries to reach for the steps but he trips and I have to catch him before he falls “Hey, careful,” I tell him as Rex opens the door to the house and jogs back down to get him.
He is drunk.
Gyles and Darrien, are the worst drunks but to me, Gyles is adorable. He completely comes out of his shell when he is drunk. He rambles, he is fucking adorable.
“I got him,’’ I tell Rex as I lead him into the house.
“You know I have legs,’’ he retorts. Glaring at me with pouty lips.
I chuckle.
“You seemed to have lost them for a second,’’ I joke.
He rolls his eyes “I wanted you to catch me…. obviously.”
We walk into the house and we all go into our room. Gyles is the first to jump on the bed “Fucking hell, what a party right?’’ he blurts out.
I don’t know how a children’s party turned into drinking and dancing but I am used to it. Rex and Darrien are the ones that organized the drinks. His relationship with Darrien is one I didn’t see coming unlike, Gyles and Alanis. They have all formed bonds in the community.
They have made this place home.
I might have settled in here completely but I haven’t really made any bonds. They are the only ones that I have connected with. They are the only ones that my heart has taken.
After everything that happened two years ago. I haven’t been able to let anyone else in. I have this fear inside me; this worry that the more people I let into my heart, the more people I will lose.
I don’t want that and I am okay, just having the two of them. they are more than enough for me.
“I need a shower,’’ Rex informs me as he starts to take off his clothes in front of us. I watch him as he gets rid of his boxers and my eyes darken. Such a beautiful man and he is mine. over the years, Rex has aged like fine wine. He has grown into his body.
He is a lot sexier than he was when I first met and he knows it. omegas get stronger when mated to an alpha.
It is showing on him.
The growth, the confidence. Everything I wanted for him when I first met him. it is all there now.
“Do you need a hand,’’ I stop him before he enters the bathroom. Gyles sits up and he is watching him too.
I don’t know if this was his intention but he smiles as he turns around “How could you help me?’’ he asks teasingly.
My wolf growls inside me hungrily.
I smile.
“Any way you want. Right G?’’ I turn to my other mate and he has the same hunger in his eyes as he nods his head incessantly. He might be drunk right now but he wants the same things I want.
We both want to fuck Rex.
Yes, yes, yes.
My wolf screams out to me at my thought.
Rex’s smile widens as he takes another step into the bathroom, leaving his supple butt visible to us. I inch forward because all I want to do is devour him. I want to hear his moans, his screams, I want it all.
He turns around one last time and Gyles stands up from the bed. he doesn’t need an invitation and I know that he is already going for it.
The question is who gets to go first?
