Chapter 113
Beau.
Dream.
’’Wake up,’’ my eyelid flutter from the sound of his voice. That beautiful voice that is all mine. I know this is a dream. It feels like a dream. I open my eyes and he is staring at me with a warm smile on his face.
This man is all mine.
I reach for him and he welcomes me into his arms. I rest my face in the crook of his neck and he breathes into me ’’It’s been just a couple of minutes but I already missed you,’’ he exclaims dramatically.
I nod into his arms because even though I have no idea what Is happening, I am enjoying every minute of this dream. Longing for Alanis has made me concoct different scenarios in my head that make up dreams. I know the moment I wake up from this dream, he will be next to me in real life. the opportunity to have him in both my dreams and reality is a blessing that no one can ever understand.
The delicate warmth of his scent kicks in, the one that makes me know I am home. Being in his arms is home to me. ’’The kids are asleep,’’ he exhales a sigh of relief.
I pull apart from him at his words.
Kids?
We have kids in this dream.
It just got even better.
’’It took a while to get them to fall asleep. I had to bribe them; said we will take them to the beach.’’
I don’t even know how it will be possible. Is there even a chance of us having kids? That makes no sense but I like this, I like this a lot. Looking around, I notice we are still in my room. This is the community, everything is still the same except for the mention of kids.
’’You’re gonna have to take them to the beach tomorrow. Do you have any Alpha duties?’’ he asks me. I watch him stand up from the bed and walk into the closet. Not even waiting for my reply. I stand up and follow him into the closet. Suddenly, this is feeling more real than earlier, it doesn’t seem like a dream anymore.
’’Are you okay?’’ he asks me, taking off his clothes and grabbing a folded shirt from one of the shelves. He puts it on immediately and wears a fresh pair of boxers. Slowly he walks over to me and wraps his arms around my neck ’’You look confused. Did you have a nightmare?’’
I shake my head and he smiles, pressing his lips to mine for a soft kiss. I deepen the kiss and he moans deeply into my mouth, deriving pleasure in our kiss.
I push him till his back is against the door of the closet and he giggles as I press the lower part of my body to him ’’Oohh someone is eager,’’ he mutters in between wet kisses.
The more I kiss him, the more real this feels. I don’t know about anything right now but I don’t want to wake up from this dream. I want to stay here for the rest of my life. things seem less complicated in this dream, we both seem happy, like we don’t have any worries.
’’Daddy,’’ I hear the voice. It makes me stiffen.
Lanis pulls away from the kiss and rests his head on my forehead ’’Shit, he is awake.’’ He grumbles in my arm.
The tiny voice pulls me out of my daze as it calls out again. ’’He wants you,’’ Lanis informs me.
I am the daddy?

We walk out of the closet and there is a little boy. Looks to be about three years old. His hair is black, he has the greyest eyes I have ever seen. This kid looks exactly like Lanis. He is a carbon copy of my boyfriend. Holy shit.
He runs into my arms catching me off guard, but somehow instinctual, I lift him off his feet and he rests in my arms ’’I am scared,’’ he breathes out.
Lanis speaks up ’’Is Colin still sleeping?’’ he asks the child in my arms. I can’t focus on anything because I have never felt any connection to anyone the way I feel for this child. I never want to let him go again.
’’Yes, he said the evil man was under my bed,’’ he explains in my arms.
I remain quiet because I am at a loss for words. I don’t know how to handle all this, it is all so overwhelming.
’’Come on kiddo, daddy had a long day. You need to go to bed,’’ Lanis stretches his hand to take him from me.
I shake my head, I meant it when I said I was never letting go of the kid ’’Let him stay here tonight,’’ I suggest.
’’He has slept in our bed for a week straight. I need some alone time with you,’’ he whispers to me with pleading eyes.
I don’t know what is happening but the expression on his face is the most adorable thing I have ever seen. He misses me. I know what alone time means.
’’Please dad,’’ the kid I have come to love but don’t even know his name begs Lanis.
We both look at Lanis with our puppy dog faces. He rolls his eyes, almost like he is used to this.
’’Fine, tonight really is the last time Colt.’’ He warns him.
’’Thank you, dad,’’ he jumps away from my arms and to Lanis. Time stops, it feels like my heart is going to explode. Watching the love of my life hold him in his arms. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, and I don’t think I will ever get over this.
Holy shit.
I open my eyes and Lanis is sleeping soundly beside me. we are still in the caves. It looks like the sun is about to come up. My heart is racing heavily. I remember the dream. It felt so real, the most realistic dream I have ever had. I want the dream to be real.
We had a family.
I had two boys.
I want that so badly.
I reach for him and brush a strand of hair from his face. he snores soundly next to me. this is the first time he has ever slept so deeply. I guess the mating ritual took a toll on him. I can’t believe the ritual is finally complete. I don’t know how I feel about it. nothing feels different. Jules said I will feel stronger, but I don’t think I am any different. the only thing that has changed is the connection I feel with Lanis. it is stronger. There is an internal pull. Something that is binding us together.
Slowly his eyes part open and he smiles when he sees me awake ’’Hi,’’ he mutters still sounding sleepy.
’’Hi,’’ I reply still caressing his strands of hair.
’’We did it,’’ he exclaims.
I know what he is talking about instantly. We finally did it, it felt like a lifetime ago, but we did it. nothing can keep us apart anymore. He is mine, for the rest of our lives.
’’Yes we did,’’ I agree with him.
Today is the happiest day of my life. the dream I just had that felt so real, makes me all the more convinced that this thing between us is going to stand the test of time. I don’t know how possible it is going to be but we are going to be a family.
That is all I ever wanted, that is why I searched so hard for my mate. I wanted a family so badly. I wanted someone that would always be there when I am happy, sad, angry. Alanis is that person and everything that has happened between us just proves that.
’’I had a weird dream,’’ I confess.
He watches me as he waits for me to continue ’’We had kids. Two boys. One looked so much like you; it was uncanny.’’
Saying it out loud is even scarier. What if he laughs at me, thinks I am hilarious? Guys can’t have kids. It is impossible. I look at his expression, I need to know what he is thinking. His eyes open wide and there is a crinkle on his forehead.
’’I know it sounds crazy; it is impossible. It just felt so real.’’
He sits up and shakes his head immediately, pulling me up with him ’’No, I don’t think it is crazy. I saw it too. Last night. I saw them. They were ours.’’
So, it is not just me.
He feels this too.
Or rather he saw it too.
It must mean something. It felt too be real to be just a dream. I don’t know what it means but I am going to hang on to those dreams. I am going to handle everything that is happening in our life for them. I will deal with Cassius and Fallon. I will protect Lanis for those kids that I haven’t even met.
They are ours.
