Chapter 141
Chapter 141:
“Please tell them I’m Essence Robbins. I’m indeed a friend of Mr. Thorpe. I’ve brought him a gift from Parasti and will leave as soon as it’s delivered p>
Ellie glanced at Bruce and questioned, “Is this the ‘not close’ you mentioned p>
Bruce was at a loss for words. It felt like a slap in the face, and a chill settled in.
“Ellie, what are you doing here?” Hearing the commotion, Essence turned around, looking at Ellie with suspicion.
Only then did Ellie notice Essence’s appearance. She was dressed in a black silk gown, sporting a large diamond ring, a meticulously crafted necklace, and matching earrings.
These were the latest offerings from MOON this season.
However, the diamond accessories in her hair were excessively lavish, giving the impression that she was laden with opulence.
“What a coincidence! I’m looking for Mr. Thorpe too.” With that, Ellie exited the elevator.
She naturally carried an air of dignity, and at that moment, her presence was commanding.
Despite Essence’s belief in her own affluent background, she couldn’t deny feeling overshadowed by Ellie’s aura.
“Really? Ellie, you think you can just see Mr. Thorpe whenever you wish? Stop fantasizing about marrying into wealth.” Essence sneered amid the secretaries on the thirty-eighth floor.
Uninterested in Essence’s taunts, Ellie shot Bruce a piercing look.
Was he expected to just stand there?
“Please, this way. Mr. Thorpe is expecting you,” Bruce responded promptly.
“Ellie, how is this possible? Mr. Thorpe is waiting for you?” Essence was incredulous and even reached out to halt Ellie’s progress.
Bruce interjected, “Miss Robbins, Mr. Thorpe won’t meet you without a scheduled appointment. Furthermore, I’ll be informing your father about your impromptu visit today p>
Essence’s complexion drained.

The Robbins family had chosen Kaiden over the Thorpe family’s eldest son, acknowledging his position as the CEO of the GT Group.
Yet, this was supposed to be a secret!
In that case, Essence had to feign ignorance of the identity of GT Group’s CEO. She shouldn’t have approached Kaiden here.
She was so overwhelmed by panic upon encountering Ellie at GT Group that she made a mistake.
“Then, how is she able to meet him?” Essence pointed at Ellie, disbelief etched on her face.
Ellie turned, offering a sweet smile. “Perhaps Mr. Thorpe finds my company more agreeable than yours due to my naturally beautiful face, Miss Robbins p>
“Ellie, have you no shame?” Essence was livid, barely containing her fury.
Bruce bowed his head.
The significance of appearance was not lost on any woman, especially a celebrity. It seemed Ellie was not as patient as some might think! As the secretary escorted Ellie into the CEO’s office, she announced, “Mr. Thorpe, Miss Gordon has arrived p>
Kaiden shifted his attention from his documents to Ellie, noting her evident displeasure.
