“It’s okay,” replied the young man, eyeing Ellie and Kaiden strangely. He finally stopped talking and focused his attention on his cell phone, swiping the screen.

When someone talks to you, the least you can do is respond. If you don’t want to talk to them, just tell them you’re not in the mood to chat p>
Ellie was right. After all, no one liked people who showed no reaction when spoken to and left the other person talking to themselves for too long.
Kaiden looked at Ellie for a while without saying a word, one hand in his pants pocket.
