Chapter 907
Ellie responded, “Your perfume is overwhelming. You’ve put on too much.”
Without waiting for Thomasina’s reply, Ellie got straight to the point. “Miss Aston, let’s not beat around the bush. Did you arrange for someone to vandalize Flossie’s lab? You need to make amends and apologize.”
“Mrs. Thorpe, being a wealthy man’s wife doesn’t give you license to make baseless accusations, does it?” Thomasina maintained an innocent expression. “I did visit Miss Yount today because I suspected her of taking something of mine. How can you accuse me of vandalizing her lab?”
Thomasina was confident that Ellie lacked evidence, and she smiled assuredly.
Ellie subtly signaled to Flossie.
Flossie promptly located the video on her phone and displayed it. The footage showed several large men arrogantly hurling objects at the lab.
Amidst the chaos, one man poured liquid from a bottle onto the desk. A young woman in a white lab coat struggled to shield the data table. The liquid immediately corroded her lab gloves, and she grimaced in pain.
In the studio, several nearby staff who watched the video couldn’t help but gasp. They winced in sympathy for the woman.
Thomasina’s expression grew grim.
Why was a high-definition camera installed in the lab? Shouldn’t the lab be opposed to surveillance due to confidentiality concerns?
“Mrs. Thorpe, I admit I didn’t manage my team properly. The necklace incident was a misunderstanding,” Thomasina said, wearing a remorseful expression. “But this is a matter between me and Miss Yount. It doesn’t concern you.”
“Why doesn’t my lab concern me?”
“Your… your lab?” Thomasina’s expression shifted slightly. “What… what do you mean?”
Before sending people to vandalize Flossie’s lab, Thomasina had already looked into it. Flossie’s project was unpopular, and major investors weren’t willing to fund it.
Because of this, she had callously ordered the lab to be vandalized to release her anger.
How could it be possible that the lab belonged to Ellie? Wasn’t Ellie a stylist?
“Miss Aston, I’ll give you a chance to make up for your mistake. Pay the damages as listed here and apologize to Flossie. Otherwise, we’ll settle this in court,” Ellie stated firmly, showing Thomasina the list on her phone.
Thomasina glanced at the list and her eyes widened.
