Elysia smiled at him, took the cart, and closed the door to their suite.

For the rest of the afternoon, Amara stayed with Elysia in the suite, and they didn’t go out.

Dorian called several times, but Elysia kept the conversations short before hanging up.

Around eight in the evening, Dorian finally finished his social obligations and came to knock on the suite’s door, only to be greeted by Amara while Elysia’s room remained closed. His expression soured.

“Is she in there?” he asked, trying to step inside.

Amara blocked his way, firmly saying, “Ely is indeed in there, but she’s resting now. Whatever you have to say can wait until tomorrow p>

Dorian’s face darkened, his voice sharp, “Move aside, or get her out here. I need to talk to her p>

His tone was harsh, holding back his frustration with Amara.

He had been busy all afternoon with guests and tried multiple times to get Elysia to join him, but she kept saying she was too tired or unwell, refusing to come out.

Finally done with everything, Dorian came over, only to find her still avoiding him,

and he was getting angry.
