A cold smile curled at her lips.

She’d been planning this for days, and now the rumor about Hogan and Amara was everywhere. The results were better than she’d hoped; the story had even gotten back to her. She’d also heard that Finnian had caught Hogan and Amara together today. No doubt Finnian’s trust in Hogan was dwindling fast.

Hogan scowled at the message.

There was a time when he and Liliana were close. He used to call her “sis-in-law” every time they met and she’d always looked out for him. Under normal circumstances f something like this happened, it would be perfectly natural for her to reach out.

But now, with his trust in Liliana all but gone, her concern felt as fake as a sympathy card from a cat to a mouse.
