They were in a private room, shielded from view, so Amara felt perfectly comfortable sipping her milk. She leaned back on the leather sofa, watching Elysia and Lucian interact. If they got together, it would be a classic case of an older woman with a younger man. But observing them, she noticed that while Elysia seemed to be the dominant one, it was Lucian who was constantly reigning her in. She was drinking too fast and smoking too much, and he kept gently reminding her to slow down and eat some fruit instead.
Amara thought that whether anything came of it or not, the important thing was that Elysia was finally focusing on someone other than Dorian.
