She tilted her chin up, delivering the fatal blow. “Let me make this crystal clear, boss. I am pregnant, and yes, biologically, this child is yours. But I do not need your financial support, and I certainly don’t need you playing father. I am raising this baby entirely on my own.”
“You are free of all obligations. You don’t owe either of us anything. Just pretend this child never existed.”
