“All things considered, I don’t think I should keep this baby,” Amara said.

Amara felt a sudden wave of sadness and stood up to grab a glass of water.

Elysia supported Amara’s decision. “It’s for the best. Being a single mother wouldn’t be easy. If you want kids later, you can find the right guy and settle down.”

Amara nodded. Elysia asked, “When do you plan to schedule the procedure? Have you picked a clinic? You could go to the one I use; I’ve gotten to know the OB-GYN there pretty well over the last few days.”

“I’ll go to yours, then,” Amara replied. “Send me the doctor’s info later, and I’ll make an appointment.”

Remembering something, she murmured, “Before I book it, I need to tell my dad…” She wanted to tell Larry Sullivan in person now that she had made her choice.

The next morning, after confirming he was home, Amara went over.

She headed straight for his study. Larry was reading. He looked up and asked, “Did you drive yourself?”

Amara nodded. “I just parked in the garage. Have you had breakfast, Dad?”

Larry said he had. He was about to ask if she had eaten, but he paused when he saw her hesitant expression. Swallowing his original question, he asked, “Do you have something to tell me?”

Amara clenched her fists and took a breath. “Yes. I’ve thought it over, Dad. I’ve decided not to keep the baby.”

Larry was slightly taken aback. Amara had been so determined keep it recently; he thought she would need more time to think Stiff, he was pleased to hear it today.”

“That’s a good decision,” he said. “If you want children in the future, you can get

married and have one. When are you taking care of it?”

“In a couple of days. I’ve already found a doctor.”

“Where? Are they reliable?” Larry asked. “If you don’t have the right person, I can ask around.”

A late-term abortion procedure was

no small matter, and Larry cared about her well-being. He needed to ensure the hospital was top notch before agreeing to let her go.

“It’s a great doctor, Dad. You don’t need to worry.”

Larry nodded. “How are you getting there? I can go with you.”

“No need, Dad. My friend is going with me,” Amara said.

She and Elysia had agreed on it last night. Elysia would accompany her, and they would hire a private nurse to help het recover for a few days, e sparing Larry the trouble.

Larry didn’t push. He asked a bit about her friend, chatted for a while, and since it

was getting late, offered for her to stay for lunch.

Amara checked the time and declined. “I have some things to take care of, Dad. I’ll come back and spend time with you another day.”

It wasn’t just an excuse. She really had work to do at the set.

Due to Finnian Everly’s stunt yesterday, she had missed a whole day of filming and fallen behind on several tasks.
