Larry frowned sharply and looked at Amara, silently demanding verification.

Amara gave a curt nod, confirming Finnian wasn’t lying. Larry turned his sharp gaze back to the younger man.

“After that, we proceeded with the divorce,” Finnian continued. “Once the papers were signed, I finally realized the depth of my feelings for her and began pursuing her, but she constantly rejected me.”

“Eventually, I discovered she was pregnant, but I didn’t know the child was mine. I assumed… well, it doesn’t matter. I just learned the truth recently.”

“That is why I was so furious when I found out she sneaked out to abort the baby today. That is why I had to stop her.”

Finnian laid out the chaotic timeline with total transparency. Larry’s brow furrowed into a deep V. He sat in silence, processing the messy revelation, clearly still unappeased.

Finnian entirely understood his hostility.

Hearing this romantic speech, Amara felt her blood boil before Larry could even respond.
