Chapter 931
Jessica’s voice was undeniably pleasant-soft and crisp.
But hearing her call his name right now made Dorian’s skin crawl.
He glared at her. “Jessica, you secretly told Finnian about Amara’s plan to get an abortion. You didn’t just hurt Amara; you hurt Elysia and me.”
“The fact that I haven’t made you pay for this is me doing you a favor. As for anything else, don’t even think about it. I’m telling you, it’s not happening.”
“Dorian…”
“Don’t call me that! Get out of my sight right now, and I might just remember our past enough to leave you alone!”
“If you keep throwing a fit, I’ll make sure you have no place left in Wye. Try me.”
After delivering the cold threat, Dorian ignored Jessica’s despairing face and walked away.
Leaving the Hawke Group building, he felt remarkably refreshed.
He should have done this ages ago. Who was Jessica, anyway? She was just Gavin Bishop’s sister, and he owed Gavin nothing.
Sure, they used to be best buddies, but he didn’t have to sacrifice his entire life to repay a dead friend’s favor.
“…Dorian, just give me one more chance, please?” Jessica chased after him, grabbing his arm.
“If you didn’t like me telling him, I won’t do it again.”
“I’ll behave from now on. I won’t bother you and Elysia. I’ll just be a good friend, like
I used to be, okay?”
Jessica thought that with her begging like this, Dorian would surely forgive her.
Instead, he violently shook her off. “Jessica, there’s another score we haven’t settled
yet. Don’t think I don’t know what you did.”
Jessica froze, her eyes widening at him.
Dorian’s voice dropped to a furious growl. “I’ve always treated you like family never had any inappropriate thoughts about you and never touched you!” content
“So why did you strip naked, crawl into my bed while I was asleep, take a picture, and send it to Elysia?”
“You almost destroyed my relationship with Elysia, Jessica. Don’t you think we need to settle that?”
Jessica’s eyes widened further, her body trembling slightly.
Right, she had done that. She had almost forgotten.
It had been incredibly effective, actually. The moment Elysia saw the photo she had terminated her pregnancy. But now Dorian knew. What was she supposed to do?
Dorian shoved her away, his tone freezing. “Get out of here. Don’t ever come looking for me again.”
“We’re done. Whatever happened in the past is wiped clean. If you dare to pull another stunt, I’ll calculate every single thing you owe me.”
Dorian left her standing at the entrance of the Hawke Group and walked away.
Standing there alone, watching his retreating back, Jessica finally felt a crushing wave of fear and regret.
Dorian really was abandoning her. What was she going to do?
That morning, Amara arrived at the set for work as usual.
The first two scenes of the day weren’t particularly important, so instead of watching
the shoot, she stayed in the lounge to revise the script.
But her mind kept wandering. She had far too much on her plate.
Finnian had found out about her plan to terminate the pregnancy, and he had even contacted Wye General Hospital to block the procedure. How was she supposed to get it done now?
