Chapter 445
Startled by his shout, Natalie looked at his cold expression and laughed bitterly. “Sebastian, just because your mind is in the gutter doesn’t mean everyone else’s is.” Sebastian sneered, “Then why were you so eager to make soup for him?”
“Because his grandmother is sick, and the soup he tried to make was burnt. So I helped him. What’s wrong with that?”
Natalie had no idea how he knew, or how he’d found the hospital.
She didn’t care about any of that. All she wanted was to divorce him.
It took dying once for her to realize how pathetic she had been.
In her past life, she had lived so humbly before Sebastian that she had missed out on so much.
In this life, she was determined to cherish those who were good to her.
She had agreed to the divorce he wanted, but he kept pestering her again and again. From now on, she wouldn’t be so polite.
Her defiant tone seemed to catch Sebastian off guard.
He handed the phone back to her. “I just want you to be mindful of your status.”
Natalie laughed mockingly. “Sebastian, you can’t even lead by example. What right do you have to demand I stay faithful to you?”
Sebastian’s sharp gaze fixed on her, his deep eyes like they were coated with a thin layer of frost. After a long moment, he said softly, “Natalie, just be good. Give me some time to sort things out.”
Natalie stared at him in horror. “Sebastian, are you possessed? Why are you speaking to me in such a gentle tone?”
The Sebastian she remembered was always cold and distant.
He frowned, thinking of his past behavior, and said nothing.
Seeing his silence, Natalie continued, “Sebastian, my only wish in this life is to divorce you. After that, I will go and live the life I want. A life that won’t include you.”
With that, she turned to look out the window, avoiding his gaze.
When Sebastian heard her say her future wouldn’t include him, a fire ignited in his heart. He looked at her exquisite profile. He knew she was serious this time, but he couldn’t let her go.
Silence fell in the car again. Sean focused on driving, but he couldn’t shake the awkwardness.
This guy really deserved to be alone.
When they arrived at the family estate, Natalie got out of the car first.
She walked into the lavish living room and saw the old matriarch sitting on the sofa, looking pale and clearly unwell.
Natalie hurried over. “Grandma, what’s wrong? Where does it hurt?”
Mrs. Griffith Sr. smiled lovingly when she saw Natalie. “Natalie, you’re here. I’m fine, dear, just a bit of an upset stomach.”
“An upset stomach?” Natalie took her wrist to check her pulse.
“It’s just some gastric discomfort. Don’t worry, Grandma. The medicine I gave you before, just take two pills and you’ll be fine.”
Natalie looked at the housekeeper nearby. “Is there any of the medicine I brought last time?”
The housekeeper came over. “Ms. Sanders, there should be. I’ll go get it.”
Natalie nodded and comforted the matriarch. “Okay. Grandma, try to avoid cold or raw foods, and your stomach issues won’t act up.”
Mrs. Griffith S leaned back on the

sofa and sighed with a smile. “Oh,
I’m getting old, my body is full of
aches and pains. Thanks to you, I’ve had a few comfortable years. Now, it takes a little mess to get you to come see me.”
The old woman truly couldn’t bear to part with her.
This child was kind and thoughtful, but Sebastian was as blind as a bat, unable to
see Natalie’s worth, still infatuated with that wicked woman, Joanna.
She looked at Sebastian, who stood opposite them. “Sebastian, I will consent to your divorce. However you are not to marry Joanna. You don’t love Natalie, and I won’t force you. Let her go.”
