Chapter 690
Chapter 690
Sebastian glanced at her coldly. Recalling the words he had just overheard, his eyes narrowed, and a chilling aura radiated from him.
“Natalie, do you want me to be with Joanna that badly? Are you that eager to push me into another woman’s bed p>
Natalie’s words caught in her throat, her face flushing a deep red with embarrassment.
Getting caught talking behind someone’s back was mortifying; she wished the ground would swallow her whole. But she had locked the door, so how did he get in?
Since he had heard everything, however, there was no point in hiding it. “That’s right. If you heard my call, then you should know it’s your turn next p>
“Do you really want to watch me burn? Do you actually want me to suffer?” Sebastian’s question was aggressive, but he regretted it the moment it left his lips, because he already knew the answer.
She truly wanted to see him destroyed.
A sharp pain lanced through his heart. She had never, ever been like this with him before.
Natalie nodded sharply, her eyes filled with sincerity. “Of course. Why do you think I haven’t left yet? I’m staying to watch you all go down p>
Besides, no matter how powerful Sebastian was, he was no match for the devious Joanna and the man backing her.
Her voice was soft, but laced with unconcealed glee.
Sebastian took a deep breath. It was just as he’d thought. “You hate me that much p>
Natalie felt he was being dense. Wasn’t the hatred on her face obvious enough? “Of course I do. After you beat me like that, am I supposed to thank you for it? I’ve seen my share of blind and heartless men, but none as despicable as you p>
“Sebastian, I am your wife. I took care of you diligently for two years, but you never once considered my feelings. You could consider everyone else’s feelings, but you never spared a single thought for me p>
“Was it my fault that Joanna left all those years ago? I knew you liked her, and didn’t want to marry you But you married a woman you didn’t love just to secure your inheritance, and then you stood by ande everyone bully me p>
“You were willing to forgive every mistake Joanna made, even willing to share her with other men p>
“We go over this every time you ask,
and I’m sick of answering. Please,
don’t ask me again. Once a rift forms between people, it’s
onet
impossible to go back. You might be able to move on from what
happened, but I can’t what

humiliation and pain, not you p>
was
“As the abusers, you all naturally assumed it was something I deserved. But I was
the victim from start to finish. Did any of you ever truly see me p>
As Natalie spoke, tears streamed down her face unnoticed.
She looked out at the wind and snow, a cold smile on her lips. “Sebastian, do you know how ridiculous I’ve been? Every time I saw you protecting Joanna, I would fly into a rage p>
“It was because of that rage that I kept falling into her traps. But that was because I felt unloved p>
“By the time I calmed down, it was because I had already fallen out of love p>
Natalie looked up, staring at him blankly. “Just as you said before, I don’t deserve to love you. And you were right. Because
Twas just when I was with
bitter complaining. wife, and you never had anything but harsh words for me. People like us
can never walk the same path p>
“I know you have an agreement. It will be three years soon. When the time comes, I
hope you’ll sign the divorce papers without a fight p>
She had said it before, but perhaps not clearly enough. This time, she hoped her message was crystal clear.
