Chapter 120

Thinking back to what happened six months ago, Natalie felt a surge of anger. Yvonne had been the one who set Jerome up, but somehow, she and Zenobia had been framed. Zenobia was the real victim that night, but no one believed either of them. They only trusted Joanna and Yvonne. Yvonne was brazen because she knew she was favored, constantly insulting Zenobia.
Zenobia was pregnant now. Based on what Natalie remembered from her past life, the baby should be about six months along. Read complete versıon only at.net
Natalie took out her phone and called Zenobia. She had been busy with her own training and hadn’t been in touch. She wasn’t sure if she could reach her now.
She dialed the number.
“Hello?” The voice on the other end was faint, but Natalie recognized it as Zenobia’s.
“Zenobia, are you okay?” Natalie asked.
Zenobia chuckled. “I’m great. I’m on vacation on a small island. But I heard you got out of the Scott family mess too.”
Natalie’s eyes softened. “Yeah, I’ve completely cut ties with them.”
“Good for you. They’re a pack of wolves. If we can’t beat them, we might as well run,” Zenobia said, her tone light and teasing.
“Zenobia, about what happened with us being framed
“Eh, it’s not a big deal. Don’t worry about it. If Jerome wants a woman that trashy, that’s his problem. We did what we could, we warned him. Our conscience is clear. Whatever happens to him now, it has nothing to do with me anymore.”
Natalie knew she was just saying that out of anger. She loved Jerome deeply. Even after he had cast her aside, she couldn’t bear to see him die. But for now, she was pregnant and needed to rest.
“Zenobia, if you need anything, just ask. I might not be a Scott anymore, but we’re still good friends.” After returning to the Scott family, she and Zenobia had become close.
“Natalie, I’m fine, don’t worry about me. I was actually worried about you when I couldn’t reach you for a while. I’m relieved to hear from you now.”
“Okay, I’ll call you again when I have time.”
Zenobia’s voice turned serious. “Alright. Natalie, the Scotts are the kind of people who will eat you alive and spit out the bones. The Griffiths are no different. You need to be careful. I’m not in Yaro, so I can’t help you.”
“I’ll be fine, Zenobia. You don’t need to worry about me.”
Natalie hung up and drove away. She had done what she could to change the events of her past life. But she was still curious-who had tampered with Jerome’s car? Was it Yvonnet didn’t make sense She wanted a comfortable life, so why would she do that?
Could it have been Nathan’s other son? He had the strongest motive.
Natalie briefly considered it. She had never even met Nathan’s other son in her past life. He had been well-protected, sent abroad to study, and was far more capable than the four Scott sons. She had heard rumors about him, but at that time, her soul had been bound to Sebastian’s side, unable to venture far. Except for that one time she didn’t follow him. She never knew where Sebastian went that day, but when he returned, he…
Natalie pushed the thought away and focused on driving home. When she arrived, her grandfather was already in bed. She sent a message to the family
group chat to let them know she was safe and went to her room.
After her shower, she lay in bed, thinking about Wendy. In about half a month, she would be sent to a mental hospital. Natalie had warned her this time if she didn’t take precautions, there was nothing more Natalie could do to help her.
As she was lying there, lost in thought, the phone on her bed suddenly rang.
