Chapter 602
Chapter 602
Natalie smiled and asked, “What’s your plan p>
“That night, he was the one who went into the wrong room. He was set up too, but that doesn’t excuse him for raping me, does it? I did love him back then, but after what happened, he insulted me with the most vicious words imaginable p>
“Joanna taught him well, making him just as blind and foolish as she is p>
“His grades in high school were terrible. I stayed up night after night organizing notes just to help him get into college. I did so much for him, but none of it ever moved him p>
“I ‘ruined him,’ making him feel like he had betrayed Yvonne. It was only later that I realized he was in love with Yvonne. He preferred her wild nature, and he enjoyed giving her everything unconditionally. My efforts, in his eyes, were worthless p>
“From that day on, I gave up on him completely. If he dares to try and take my child, I’ll fight him to the death p>
Zenobia’s smile was full of confidence.
Seeing that she had truly moved on, Natalie was happy for her. “Exactly. Zenobia, you’ll find someone who loves you more p>
“Of course. I’m a great person. Wasting so many years on someone so rotten was a hard lesson learned p>
“But it won’t happen again. I’ll meet a good man who will cherish me p>
Zenobia lay back on the bed, her smile radiant.
Natalie smiled and stood up to clear the dishes.
Jerome, who had rushed to the island as fast as he could, heard the conversation between Zenobia and Natalie. He had been about to push the door open, but now he found he had lost all courage.
So, the girl who once had eyes only for him now saw him as a rapist.
So, in Zenobia’s heart, he was truly rotten to the core.
He had only been humoring Joanna. It was Yvonne’s bold personality that had truly captivated him.
That morning, when he woke up and saw Zenobia in his bed, he had been furious, hurling the cruelest insults at her.
“Zenobia, are you that desperate? Have you no shame, drugging me? The person I love has never been you. You’re like a pathetic lapdog. Do you enjoy licking the dirt off my shoes p>
“You’re disgusting. You cheap woman, you ruined my innocence and made me betray Yvonne p>
At that moment, Zenobia had looked at him as if he were a complete stranger.
She was stunned and hurt.
She stood
up and screamed with all
her might, “derome, you were the one who came into the wrong room last night! You fucking call me lapdog? The biggest regret of my life is ever liking a scumbag like you, rotten to the very core p>
“You’re a stranger to me. I can’t
believe those words came out of your mouth. Dont worry J’ll ju consider what happened last night a dog bite. From now on, I never want to see you again p>
She had slammed the door and left, and he hadn’t seen her since.
It turned out he really was a failure.
Jerome was in agony. He knew going in now would only infuriate Zenobia, but he desperately wanted to see her and their child.
He knew he was wrong. Zenobia was a good girl. They had grown up together.
It was only after seeing Yvonne’s wickedness that he realized how good Zenobia truly was.
But he had failed to cherish her.
He looked at the caregiver behind him, his deep, hoarse voice trembling
uncontrollably. “Let’s go. We’ll leave the hospital for now p>
The caregiver pushed the wheelchair away.
He had come in secret, and he left in secret.
Downstairs, the wind was bone-chilling. Jerome stared at the raging sea in the distance, the wind howling around him.
He gazed quietly at the distant sea, finally understanding that if you take the wrong path in life, you lose far too much.
