Chapter 970
Chapter 970
Joanna was at a loss for words, staring at Natalie’s genuinely indifferent expression. Anger surged within her.
If Natalie wasn’t angry, if she didn’t care, then what was the point of all this?
She had done all of it just to see Natalie suffer.
Her expression darkened as she scrutinized Natalie, determined not to miss a single flicker of emotion on her face.
“Natalie, aren’t you the one who loved Sebastian the most? What, it’s only been a year and you’ve already forgotten him completely? You call that love p>
“Sebastian was never satisfied. He was with you, his legal wife, while pining for me every single day. Didn’t you hate living in my shadow? I’m letting you have him, so why are you acting like you’re begging for punishment now p>
“Joanna, I’ve told you many times: don’t come looking for trouble, and definitely don’t come here to gloat. Just hearing your name makes me sick. And remember, the consequences of your actions will always be more than you can handle p>
She was letting her be, just so she could watch them tear each other apart.
Joanna felt utterly humiliated. Lately, every word from Natalie felt like a personal insult.
She sneered, “Natalie, I know you’re just pretending not to care. Deep down, you must be devastated p>
Natalie cut her off coldly. “Joanna, if thinking that makes you feel better, then by all means, keep thinking it p>
“Now get out. Your pretentious act is nauseating p>
When it came to Joanna, Natalie was always ready to snap.
She truly despised her.
Joanna’s fists clenched. She was furious. Natalie’s words were getting under her skin.
Her icy eyes fixed on her. “Natalie, Sebastian and I are getting married in a few days. He’s going to give me the grandest wedding the world has ever seen. You can come and watch, if you want. See how happy I am p>
Natalie felt a sharp, involuntary pang in her chest. It was a visceral reaction.
But she had already moved on.
“Fine. If you’re really inviting me, I’ll be sure to bring our marriage certificate. We can show everyone at your grand wedding what kind of mistress you are p>
“You p>
Joanna smiled smugly at her. “Natalie, be at the courthouse tomorrow at 9 a.m. to divorce Sebastian p>
“Good. I can’t wait. However Natalie trailed off with a cold smirk.
Joanna didn’t catch the implication and walked out with an arrogant turn.
Natalie clicked her tongue. So, they were really getting a divorce.
She had wanted a divorce anyway, so she didn’t feel sad.
She shifted in her bed and looked out the window. The holidays were appro and she could hear the
distant pops of fireworks and the festive cheers of the crowd outside.
Bang!
The pops of the explosions and the happy shouts of the children made her feel cheerful and relaxed.
After the divorce, she and Sebastian would have nothing to do with each other.
“Natalie, I’m back p>
Queena came in carrying breakfast.
She looked puzzled. “Natalie, why is the door open p>
Natalie smiled. “It’s nothing. Joanna just stopped by to remind me to divorce Sebastjan tomorrow
morning. It’s been my wish
divorce him for a long time. Queena, can you take me to the courthouse tomorrow p>
Queena paused, a flicker of confusion in her eyes. This wasn’t right. Their
connection in fate was supposed to be unbreakable.
Why would Sebastian suddenly agree to a divorce?
She nodded. “Okay. You rest up today, and take you to the courthouse tomorrow morning.
You’ve always wanted to get awet
from him, right? If you don’t want to be with him, then leave. There’s no point in forcing things that make you unhappy p>
