Chapter 911
Chapter 911
Otherwise, it would be difficult to get pregnant again.
The news had hit her like a physical blow, leaving her reeling and fueled by a murderous rage toward Robert.
Susan was a little startled by her crazed behavior.
“Alright, alright, stop having a meltdown in my room. Go find somewhere private to lose your mind. This is just embarrassing. You’re losing all that nobility you’re so proud of p>
Susan’s tone was mocking, trampling all over Joanna’s ego.
Thinking back on all the grief she had endured for years because of her crush on Jared, she felt a wave of self-pity, thinking how stupid she had been.
Every time she remembered her ridiculous fawning, she wanted to slap herself a few times just to knock some sense into her head.
Joanna’s eyes were bloodshot as she left in tears.
Susan quickly sent Natalie a message: [Natalie, I drove Joanna crazy. She left in the middle of a complete breakdown p>
Natalie, who was eating, paused when she saw the message.
Joanna was no pushover. She was especially vindictive.
Susan had schemed against her and offended her; she would surely pay her back a hundred times over.
Natalie: [Susan, she’s dangerously vindictive. You crossed her once this morning and she already tried to end you. You need to stay on high alert p>
Susan: [I got her to agree to a ten-million-dollar settlement p>
Natalie stared at the message, a cold knot of dread tightening in her gut.
Would Joanna really just hand over ten million dollars to Susan?
Impossible!
Even if she did, she’d find a way to take it back a thousandfold.
Natalie: [Susan, stay safe. Be especially careful with your family’s company. You need to be on guard p>
In her past life, Susan had also been horribly tormented by Joanna, all because of that scumbag Jared.
Reading Natalie’s text, Susan felt a little uneasy herself. Joanna’s heart was more venomous than a scorpion’s.
Susan: [Natalie, it’s fine, I’m okay. Don’t worry about me. Just remember to bring me some lunch when you get back p>
Once she saw Natalie’s reply, Susan put her phone down and lay down to sleep.
Back in her own hospital room, Joanna was still fuming.
Horace had rushed to the hospital. Seeing Joanna’s haggard appearance, he felt a pang of pity. “Miss where did you go? The doctor said you need to be resting and receiving treatment p>
Joanna lay back on the bed, staring at the ceiling. She wiped a
coldly
tear
Rither of her eye and
said in a low voice, “Horace, go transfer ten million to Susan p>
“What? That woman is demanding ten million dollars in compensation? She brought
this on herself! Why should she get ten million p>
Horace was furious, his expression dark.
Joanna sneered. “It’s fine. Give it to her for now. Whether she lives long enough to spend it is another story p>
Her money wasn’t that easy to take.
Horace understood. They would give Susan the money for now, but one day, they would get it back, with interest.
“Very well, Miss. I’ll arrange it p>
Horace presented the lunch he had brought. “Miss, please have some lunch first p>
Only then did Joanna slowly sit up. She sent Horace to transfer the money while she quietly ate her meal.
Her mind was already calculating her next moves.
Sebastian was no longer willing to help her. From now on, she would have to figure things out on her own.
Joanna narrowed her eyes. It was because of Robert that she had ended up in this miserable state.
She wouldn’t be Joanna if she didn’t bleed him dry.
After lunch, Joanna took out her phone and called Robert.
“Well, well, Joanna. To what do I owe the pleasure?” Robert’s voice was deep, with a playboy’s edge.
Thinking of his powerful physique,
Joanna felt a strange sensation.
“Robert, I’ve gotten rid of the baby
Now it’s time for you to hold up your
end of the bargain. You said you
get rid of it. „Dos
would protect me if I get rid of it. Do still mean it?
