Chapter 999
Chapter 999
“I cut ties with her long ago. She always recognized you as her daughter, so what does she have to do with me p>
“If anyone is causing her shame, it’s you, the daughter she raised for over twenty years p>
“Like right now, you come storming into the company, trying to rally the shareholders to kick me out. You even instigated Mr. Wilson to acquire shares in The Griffith Group, hoping he’d back you up p>
“But the Wilson family can’t even save themselves right now. Why don’t you ask Mr. Wilson if he’s in any position to back you up? Perhaps you should check the news before you speak p>
Natalie smiled, the curve of her lips just right—a little bold, with a depth that invited curiosity.
Mr. Wilson frowned, looking at the confident and radiant Natalie, whose beauty seemed almost otherworldly.
“Natalie, you’re truly audacious. Do you think you can slander the Wilson family as you please p>
Mr. Wilson’s presence was intimidating. In all his life, no junior had ever dared to speak to him this way.
Natalie was the first.
“Mr. Wilson, instead of threatening me, perhaps you should check your phone. See what your son did last night. He’s at the police station right now p>
Natalie held up her phone for Mr. Wilson to see.
Mr. Wilson froze, then whipped out his own phone and saw the news alert.
/Wilson Group GM Marcus Wilson arrested in midnight raid following brutal assault charges p>
Below was a photo of a battered woman, her lips torn, her face contorted, and her body covered in bruises.
The Wilson Group’s stock was plummeting.
Mr. Wilson was speechless.
He looked at Natalie in horror.
“Natalie, was this your doing p>
Mr. Wilson couldn’t believe a young girl could pull off something like this.
Natalie shook her head. “No. But that mistress was introduced to your son by
Joanna. If you don’t believe me, you can go ask your son p>
Joanna had another hobby: she liked to “rescue” desperate women, giving them a taste of sweetness before pushing them into an abyss.
And yet, those people would still be deeply grateful to her.
This woman was one Joanna had previously arranged for Mr. Wilson, but she found
him too old and eventually set her sights on his eldest son.
After the novelty wore off, Mr. Wilson’s eldest son wanted the woman to leave.
She refused, greedily demanding more.
The result was a severe beating. It just so happened that Luna’s people, who were passing by witnessed it. It
was almost dawn tuna had them call the police, saving the woman’s life
But Mr. Wilson’s son was taken into custody.
As for the news, she didn’t know who released it, but it was a timely coincidence
that she happened to see it.
Mr. Wilson whirled to face Joanna.
Joanna never dreamed things would turn out this way. This accident was not part of her plan.
She shook her head, looking
wronged. “Mr. Wilson, that girl was a
college student I was helping. She
said she wanted to be in the entertainment industry, so I introduced her to yourson I truly don’t know what happened after that p>
Mr. Wilson narrowed his cloudy eyes. As a father, he knew his son’s temper better than anyone.
He often abused his own wife, but no one ever dared to intervene. Yet, somehow, what happened last night was exposed.
He suddenly pointed at Natalie, his voice shaking with rage. “Natalie, you have a lot
of nerve, plotting against my son p>
Natalie laughed, a mix of
amusement and exasperation. The
smile on her red lips was faint but deeply meaningful Mr Wilson does your son’s abusive behavior really
require any plotting from me p>
