Chapter 852
Chapter 852
Mr. Wilson trembled. It was a voice he had heard for over twenty years, one he knew intimately.
He spun around and saw Luna pushing Mrs. Wilson into the room.
“Melissa Grant, you’re… you’re still alive p>
Mr. Wilson couldn’t believe it. If she was alive, he was finished. A complex mix of emotions played across his face.
Mrs. Wilson looked at him coldly, seeing the shock and fear in his eyes. Her own gaze grew even colder. This was just the beginning. Why was he so scared already?
“Honey, I was taken by kidnappers that night and tied up in a basement. After I escaped, Miss Natalie rescued me and took me to the hospital. I’ve been unconscious this whole time, which is why she was so wrongly accused p>
Mr. Wilson was stunned; he hadn’t expected her to lie for him and claim she had been taken by kidnappers.
She hadn’t told the truth-that he was the one who had bound her and left her in that basement to die.
But since she hadn’t revealed the truth of that night, he immediately assumed it was because she was still madly in love with him. How could she possibly betray him?
Feigning a look of deep concern, Mr. Wilson walked over to her. “Melissa, I’m so glad you’re alive. You have no idea how worried we’ve all been p>
Mrs. Wilson gazed at his deceitful face and a faint smile touched her lips.
“Mr. Wilson, I’m not dead, no. But your affair with Sophia is very, very real. Now that I can move again, my sole purpose is to divorce you. I’ve brought the divorce agreement. I don’t want a single thing that belongs to the Wilson family, but I will be taking everything that is mine. I don’t want either of the children, because it’s clear they don’t want me as their mother p>
She gestured, and the lawyer her father had arranged stepped forward, handing him a divorce agreement.
Mrs. Wilson smiled at Mr. Wilson. “Mr. Wilson, today, in front of everyone here and all the viewers watching this livestream, let’s get this divorce over with. I’m setting you free to be with Sophia. Since you two have been together for over twenty years, I wouldn’t want to stand in your way any longer p>
If he wanted to marry Sophia, a simple divorce would have sufficed. The only reason he tried to kill her was because he wanted to seize her family’s entire fortune.
The bastard. He was despicable!
“Sign this agreement. Once you do, we will have no relationship from this day forward. You and Sophia can finally be together. I won’t stop your son or daughter from calfing
Her Mom either
It wasn’t a fate she would fight for. If her own children didn’t want her, she had nothing to feel guilty about.
Mr. Wilson was stunned. He didn’t know what to make of this.
Seeing the serious look on her face, he knew Melissa Grant was for real.
But why wasn’t she exposing him?
This wasn’t like her at all. What was she planning?
To come back not to accuse him, but to divorce him?
“Melissa p>
“Dad, you and Mom don’t love each other anyway. Isn’t getting a divorce now a good thing?” Evelyn appeared behind Mrs. Wilson.
Mrs. Wilson had already heard Evelyn calling Sophia ‘Mom’ yesterday. She was already numb to it. Hearing her daughter’s words now, she felt nothing at all.
A mocking smile formed on her lips. “Mr. Wilson, did you hear that? Your daughter is also hoping we divorce. This agreement is fair to both of us. I have my principles, don’t take what isn’t mine p>
“But I will be taking back everything that belongs to me p>
Mr. Wilson looked at her, at her calm smile. In that moment, he suddenly didn’t want a divorce.
Melissa Grant loved him more than life itself. How could she possibly leave him?
He smiled and said, “Melissa, don’t be ridiculous. Now that you’re back, we can go back to how things were. As for the women on the side, I’ll break things off with them p>
Evelyn disagreed. She wanted Sophia. “Dad, you stopped loving Mom a long time ago! Forcing
yourselves to stay together just net
makes everyone miserable. Hurry up and divorce her. She’s disabled now, Do you really want to take care of someone who’s disabled p>
