It was too humiliating. He couldn’t stand being this version of himself.
Colin chimed in, “Mom, this is easy. Natalie still has that fifty million. I’ll go to her tomorrow and make her hand it over. That should help you for a while.”
Wendy just smiled. “No, thank you, Colin. I don’t want a son as vile as you. All four of you are rotten to the core.”
“My company has been in trouble for so long, yet neither you nor your father has been willing to step up and help me. I don’t want any of you anymore.” Wendy stood up and left, her heart aching.
If only she had discovered Nathan and Joanna’s scheme sooner, could her four sons have been saved?
Colin was dumbfounded. His mother… was abandoning him?
“Wendy, you stop right there!” the grandmother shouted angrily from the top of the stairs.
Wendy turned to face the old woman’s arrogant expression. With her here to torment Nathan, his health would only decline faster.
She’d let them have their fun for a few more months. Then she would send them all to hell.
“Wendy, you haven’t given me this month’s allowance yet. You’re not leaving here today until you pay up,” the grandmother said, acting like a common thug.
Wendy wasn’t angry. She simply
smiled. “Mother, my company is two hundred million in debt. I recall

Wendy feigned surprise. “Nathan, your company makes millions every month? How come I never knew that?”
Nathan forced a smile. “Wendy, Mom was just joking. She just wants you to let me run the company, that’s why she said that.”
The old woman looked
uncomfortable, her eyes darting away from Wendy. She had almost let it slip that the money was going to her other grandson.
That grandson of hers was running a very successful business abroad.
Not like these four useless ones, who didn’t earn a penny and cost the family
millions every month. Four good-for-nothings.
Wendy had already uncovered some things. After her recent probing, she knew that
the old couple was aware Nathan had another son abroad.
Almost all of Nathan’s money had gone to that son.
