Susan had also heard things about Sebastian from her father. If he really went too far, he could have easily landed her father in jail.

To prevent them from fighting for the inheritance, Mr. Griffith Sr. had given everything directly to Sebastian, whom he and his wife had raised since childhood.
Though Timothy was a philanderer, he still respected his father and kept his other children from bothering the old couple. Publicly, Sebastian was their only grandson. Sebastian’s life was full of mysteries, including the whereabouts of his mother, which no one knew.
“Mr. Spencer, maybe we should be polite to him later. Like you said, he’s ruthless behind the scenes. What if he decides to mess with our families? We wouldn’t stand a chance.”
Her father had warned her not to provoke Sebastian, to hold back no matter how much she hated him.
Susan’s family company was successful, but compared to a giant like the Griffith Group, it was nothing.
The Spencer family was on more equal footing, but Marshall lacked Sebastian’s ruthless edge.
Marshall trembled with anger. “Why should we back down for a scumbag? He hurt Natalie so much. I want to fight him.”
His charming eyes burned with rage.
Susan couldn’t help but smile at his bravado. “Alright, I’ll be watching your performance.”
Marshall was speechless.

Sebastian’s yacht docked, and he walked down the gangway, flanked by
bodyguards, his steps elegant.
Sebastian looked at Marshall, his features sharp, his eyes deep. His voice was icy. “Where’s Natalie?”
“Hmph! Who wants to talk to a scumbag like you?” Marshall turned to get the fishing gear, determined to catch a lot of fish today.
Sebastian watched Marshall ignore him but didn’t press the matter.
Sean brought the fishing gear down. Gazing at the azure sea, he thought my goodness, its been so long since I’ve felt this relaxed.
“Sir, the beauty of this place is so healing.”
Sebastian took a deep breath and removed his sunglasses, just as Natalie emerged from the water.
Her net bag was filled with six large lobsters.
She swam forcefully toward the shore.
“Marshall, come quick! The
resources here are amazing. I Caught Six lobsters from one.
They’re huge, and they’re my favorite kind.”
Marshall grabbed a bucket and ran into the water, collecting the lobsters Natalie brought ashore.
“Wow!” Marshall exclaimed, looking at the lobsters, each weighing over a pound. He was so excited he was at a loss for words.
It was the first time he’d seen such fresh, large lobsters.
“Natalie, you’re amazing!” he decided then and there to learn how to dive so he could catch fish with her in the future.
Natalie smiled, then looked up and saw Sebastian standing on the shore. She froze.
Marshall knew why she was surprised. He turned to look at Sebastian, displeased. “Natalie, I had no idea he was coming.”
Natalie asked, “Is Joanna here? If she is, we need to leave. She’s out for your blood, you know.”
Marshall’s heart leaped into his throat. “No, I didn’t see her.”
Natalie breathed a sigh of relief. She was afraid of Joanna too; that woman was a heartless, vicious creature.
She pointed at the lobsters. “Put these in the cooler. The chef can decide what to do with them tonight.”
“I saw a ray, but it was too big to
spear. I was afraid it would drag me out to sea. But I did spot some red. grouper. go get a few for steamed fish tonight.
