Chapter 692

Chapter 692

Just as Natalie got into the car, Sebastian pulled open the passenger door. She looked at him, confused. “What are you doing? Get out. I have something urgent to do, you’ll just be in the way p>

“This is my car,” he reminded her coolly.

Natalie was in a hurry, her words tumbling out quickly. “We’re still married, which makes this marital property. So get out, I have an emergency p>

Sebastian paused. So now she acknowledged they were husband and wife.

Only when it was convenient for her.

“Where are you going? I’ll go with you. It’s too late, I’m not comfortable with you going alone,” Sebastian insisted. Someone was tailing her; she could be in danger at any moment.

Natalie knew he was more stubborn than a bull. Not wanting to waste her breath arguing, she just started the car and drove off.

On the road, Natalie drove with a speed and stability that was impressive.

Sebastian was suddenly reminded of the street race he had witnessed.

Her movements had been fluid and captivating. The Natalie he saw that night had stunned him.

He decided to ask the question that had been on his mind. “When did you learn to race p>

“Around thirteen, I think,” Natalie said. “I trained at a professional track. I found it thrilling, so I practiced for a couple of hours every day p>

“There was so much to learn, so I never got that good at it p>

Sebastian’s mouth twitched. She was being far too modest. Not that good? She was better than Taylor Woodard.

He, on the other hand, had been left in her dust miles behind.

It turned out he was the one who couldn’t keep up.

Natalie knew all about luxury cars, thanks to her brother Owen. Owen had a passion for cars, but racing was dangerous, so their grandfather never allowed him to pursue it professionally.

When their grandfather found out Owen had gotten her interested in it too, Owen was forced to kneel for an entire night as punishment.

After that, Owen never dared to take her racing again. It was a dangerous sport, after all.

“And design? When did you start studying that?” he asked, finding it hard to believe she could excel at so many things at once.

“I was sixteen when I came back and met you. I was admitted to the program with a special exemption. Didn’t you know? You investigated me, the dean should have

told you p>

She had been bright since she was a child. Her grandfather noticed her talents and hired various tutors to teach her.

Sebastian pressed on. “What about your medical skills? When did you learn those p>

Natalie smiled confidently. “Around six, I think. I’ve always been more interested in medicine and research. When I was six, on a snowy day just like this, I got really sick The doctor gave me some medicine, and I was better the next day. I thought it was magical. I told my grandfather I wanted to study medicine, so he found the best doctors to teach me p>

As Natalie spoke of her past, her face shone with pride.

Sebastian asked another question. “Then why were you in the countryside when Jerome came to pick you up p>

“That’s simple,” Natalie explained. “I bought a mountain there specifically to grow the medicinal herbs I need. Did you really think the rare herbs used for your leg ry could just be bought at the market p>

“The reason your eyesight recovered so well is all thanks to the herbs grown on that mountain. They’re extremely rare p>

Sebastian was taken aback. “So, that cold, stinging poultice you applied to my eyes every day… that was made from herbs you picked yourself? But you clearly said p>

“I was young, and none of you

trusted me. Even you thought I had

stolen the happiness that was- meant for Joanna. That’s why I told your grandmother I had foundas miracle doctor to treat you p>
