Chapter 1152
Natalie and Marshall exchanged a glance. They both completely believed Queena’s words.
Marshall smiled. “Queena, thank you for telling us.”
Queena was dressed in an elegant green top paired with white trousers. She looked effortlessly stunning and graceful, practically glowing with a confident smile as she walked.
“You’re welcome, Marshall. You’re Natalie’s friend, which makes you my friend, too.”
Queena valued loyalty, which was why she had saved Marshall’s father in the first place.
Marshall remained incredibly grateful to her. She was young and beautiful, yet possessed a deep, grounded composure. It was a commanding presence born from seeing through fate and human nature-something that easily captivated a man.
He found himself stealing a few extra glances at her.
Sitting in her wheelchair, Natalie missed the captivated look in Marshall’s eyes, but Luna caught it.
Luna narrowed her eyes, sensing something shifted in Mr. Spencer’s gaze.
But she kept her thoughts to herself.
The group headed into the private dining room Marshall had reserved.
A lavish meal was already set up inside.
Natalie’s excitement spiked the moment she saw the food. The table was covered in mouthwatering dishes, and she couldn’t stop her lips from curling into a huge smile.
“Wow! Is that my favorite lobster?”
Queena was thrilled, eyeing the lobster on the table with a hungry gaze.
Marshall laughed as he watched her. Queena’s radiant smile had a contagious effect on him, making him grin in return.
He scratched the back of his neck, feeling a strange but pleasant sensation.
Natalie was just as happy. Beyond sleeping and working, eating was one of life’s greatest joys. She had always been a foodie.
She looked over at Queena. “Queena, this is all Marshall’s treat. Eat up.”
“Don’t mind if I do,” Queena said as she took a seat.
Marshall urged Luna to sit down as well.
Once seated, he served each of them a massive piece of lobster.
Queena dug in without hesitation. The meat was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor.
“This is incredible. I never had lobster this fresh while living abroad,” Queena said between bites, completely unpretentious and genuine.
Marshall found it incredibly relaxing to hang out with Queena, Natalie, and Luna.
He looked at the three women and smiled.
“Natalie, how are things at the company lately?” he asked, knowing she had taken over Sebastian’s business.
Natalie didn’t think it was going well.
“Just busy. Endless, exhausting work,” she replied, clearly hating the chaotic schedule.
Marshall laughed, a bright and
genuine sound. “I hate the daily grind
too, but honestly, my life feels so full right now, we never lived as intentionally as I have this past year.”
He glanced at the three women. He had never had close female friends before, but now he had three, and their dynamic was effortless and
sincere. “I’ve been alive for over
twenty years but this single year has made me feel truly fulfilled
Natalie paused, taking in his earnest expression. He really had grown up. “Keep it up, Marshall. When
someone actually starts living with purpose and putting in the work, guess what happens?”
Marshall smiled back. “What happens, Natalie?”
