Chapter 833
Madeline:
“I cannot believe Rosetta did all that. So there really had been a guardian angel watching over us all this time.”
I sighed, placing both hands over my chest.
I couldn’t wait to meet Rosetta because I desperately wanted to ask her if my suspicions were right, if what my family and I had been thinking was actually true.
Was Rosetta our long-lost sister?
“She’s wonderful, isn’t she?” Ron asked.
The way he searched my face for an answer made it seem like he knew more.
Of course, he and Yuvonne knew far more about what had happened in the werewolf world after I left.
We had only just sat down, with refreshments spread out for everyone, when they began telling me everything.
Literally everything that had happened in the werewolf world, from Sawyer arriving and being freed with Lady Eugenia’s help to the fact that they were now waiting a week for him to prove himself.
But that was a conversation for later.
Right now, we were still at the stage of introducing each other to the most important people in our lives.
In other words, surprising each other.
“So, I have a surprise for you too. Remember I told you I had one?” I said to Ron before chuckling and leaning back on the couch, crossing one leg over the other.
“Really? Tell us. I’m really excited for surprises,” Yuvonne said, just like she used to, rubbing her hands together with excitement.
“Okay, wait a minute.” I got up from the couch, fixed my skirt, and walked toward my children’s room.
Ron and Yuvonne continued talking, eating, and enjoying the snacks while I stepped inside and found Elara and Gina building blocks with the nannies.
“Come over here. I want you to meet someone,” I called loudly enough for Yuvonne to hear.
“Wait, is it Elara?” Yuvonne asked, immediately getting up from the couch and clasping her hands together, looking so hopeful to see her niece.
“Well-” I said as Elara walked out of the room first.
The moment Elara saw Yuvonne, she ran.
She rushed across the room and threw herself into her arms.
Yuvonne hugged her tightly before lifting her into the air, both of them laughing and giggling.
Then Gina stepped out of the room.
Ron’s smiling eyes went completely still before widening in shock.
He placed a hand on Yuvonne’s shoulder and gave her a small shake, drawing her attention away from Elara before pointing toward Gina.
Elara was still smiling widely as Yuvonne’s gaze landed on Gina, but then Yuvonne froze, slowly lowering Elara back to the floor.
“It’s like this place is more magical than the Werewolf world. Everyone we thought was dead is just here,” I said gently nudging Ging toward Yvonne
Gina hadn’t spent much time with Yuvonne and Ron.
She only knew that Yuvonne had become kinder toward the end, and the last time they had all been together was on Yuvonne’s wedding day, the same day everyone believed Gina had died.
“Come over here,” Yuvonne said softly.
The moment she did, Gina rushed toward her.
Maybe it was simply the comfort of seeing familiar faces again.
I watched Yuvonne drop to her knees and pull Gina into her arms, crying as she held her.
Ron did the same, lowering himself beside them and looking at Gina with nothing but adoration in his eyes.
“I’m so happy we have a whole family now. You know, Mommy has a mommy and a sister too.”
As Elara spoke, Ron and Yuvonne exchanged another confused look before turning to me.
“Well, it seems like we really have a lot to catch up on,” I said, shrugging when they looked at me for answers.
“I seem to have some other news,” I commented, clasping my hands together as I stared at their faces.
They looked like they were about to die from all the shocks.
“I did find my family. My mother and my sister,” I said, turning my head toward the main entrance.
My mother arrived with Livia.
Yuvonne’s eyes widened as she looked between the three of us, while Ron let out a small gasp.
“Well, this is my mother, and that’s
Livia.” I paused before I could say anything else, because someone else was about to arrive and leave them even more stunned.
“They’re here?” Baxter’s voice came from behind me.
Without even looking toward Ron and Yuvonne, he walked straight to me and kissed my cheek.
Ron and Yuvonne kept watching the whole scene unfold.
Of course, it was different for Yuvonne because she had probably only heard about
what happened to Baxter, but Ron had lived through it.
So his reaction was by far the wildest.
Baxter causally turned to them and gave them a headnod while his arm was wrapped around my back.
