Chapter 734
Madeline:
I was going to have so much fun with Kaylee.
At the same time, I let Graham make a fool of himself.
The way Elgin was looking at me, there was resentment in his eyes, almost as though I owed him what I was giving Graham.
Even Ron was silently waiting for his turn.
“So, we’ll accept Madeline among us. If anyone has an objection, stay here and speak now,” Graham said.
No one spoke.
Elgin looked around before stepping forward and slapping Graham on the chest.
“We cannot accept a Grey Wolf among us,” he declared, looking around at everyone’s faces, trying to find the support he needed and convince them that he was right.
“But if we don’t, then who will take care of our children? They can’t keep living like this,” one of the women shouted from the crowd.
I was shocked.
I honestly thought I would never be accepted again after everyone found out about my wolf.
But of course, I had underestimated how desperate people were when it came to their own interests.
They switched sides that easily.
That was the problem.
And Graham seemed to have found a way to make it all legal for himself, including keeping me here legally.
“Well, we’ll find a way,” Elgin said, his voice cracking before he turned to me. “Why him?”
He no longer bothered hiding that he was more upset about me choosing Graham than about being rejected himself.
“How can you forgive him? How can you forget what he did to others, especially your sister? Didn’t you see Yuvonne as your sister?” he asked.
His words made me smile and shake my head at the same time.
“There’s nothing you can say to ruin our reunion, Elgin, so fucking calm down,” Graham said confidently, making me smile even wider.
“Wait.”
Ron stepped forward.
This was the moment he was supposed to speak.
He was still pretty drunk.
I was afraid he would ruin everything.
But somewhere along the way, he must have sobered up, possibly after watching all
the criminals standing on the stage.
“I’m saying this openly,” Ron said, looking back at Graham, who was smirking.
This was the moment I had told Graham about.
Ron was supposed to announce that he forgave him.
Then Sherry would come out and say she forgave him.
After that, I would say I forgave him too. Not that anyone cared.
“I don’t forgive you, however,” Ron said loudly.
For a moment, everyone fell silent, as though they couldn’t believe what they had just heard.
“What?” Graham asked. “Can you say that again? I think we all heard you wrong.”
He was still smiling, but there was a hysterical edge to it.
“I said I won’t forgive you, you fucking asshole,” Ron snapped.
Another gasp rippled through the crowd.
“Wait, what?” Graham muttered.
“Madeline, please tell him to sober up,” he hissed, pointing at me, hoping I would take control of Ron.
I only shrugged, shaking my head in confusion.
“Why are you acting like you actually believed I wanted to marry you?” I asked calmly.
Graham’s eyes narrowed at me before shifting to Elgin.
Elgin, who had looked exhausted only moments ago, suddenly smiled, probably realizing that all of us had been playing one another all along.
།
“Madeline, you don’t need to do all that. People are going to accept you back into their lives. Don’t worry,” Graham said as he tried to approach me.

I held up my hand, stopping him in his tracks.
“You really thought I would forgive you?” I asked as I closed the distance between
us.
“But you said—” He pointed at his chest.
I raised my hand and slapped him so hard that he tumbled down the stage steps.
Everyone immediately started throwing things at him.
“You fucking asshole! You gave us false hope!” someone yelled.
The warriors quickly shielded him, not out of respect, but because he was now a prisoner they had to arrest.
“Nobody is forgiving you, you asshole!” I screamed.
“You caused Yuvonne and so many others unimaginable pain. None of us has the right to forgive you for
what they suffered,”
I yelled, my
voice cracking slightly.
“I knew I could trust you to not fall victim to him again.”
I didn’t know when Elgin had arrived, but his voice came from right beside me.
My first instinct was to turn around and slap him too.
He looked shocked.
Even so, he carried himself with more authority than Graham because he believed
he was going to become the Alpha King.
“I’ll deal with you later,” I said to Elgin, watching his eyes widen.
“Now, are you going to arrest him? Because even if you won’t do it for me, there are plenty of other people he has hurt.”
I stepped back.
Elgin remained where he was, staring at Graham.
“Graham will now be imprisoned
alongside Silver, not only for raping a
woman but also for killing herd
They will remain there for the rest of their lives,” Elgin declared.
But he didn’t know we weren’t finished yet.
The day wasn’t over.
