“I just wanted you to come home!” Seeing no escape, Anastasia decided to go on the offensive.
“If I hadn’t pretended to be sick, would you really have stayed out all night?” She put her hands on her hips, tilting her head up to look at him with a mix of defiance and grievance. “You left me at home feeling guilty and miserable, while you were probably out there drinking and having the time of your life!”
The unexpected accusation made Harrison’s brow twitch. “Me, having the time of my life?”
“Ahem,” Anastasia guiltily averted her gaze. “I wasn’t with you, so how would I know…”

Before she could finish, a light slap landed on her bottom.
Anastasia instantly covered the spot, looking up at him with a wounded expression. “You hit me?”
Harrison’s face was impassive as he looked down at her. “And shouldn’t I have?”
Under his powerful presence, Anastasia swallowed her indignation. “… You should have.”
