“It doesn’t matter what kind of herbs he needs. To be modest, I’d say I can produce eight or nine out of ten of them,” Anastasia said with a smile. Her tone wasn’t arrogant, but it radiated complete confidence.
Logan was stunned. He was about to ask where she would find them when Anastasia prompted him, “Have you forgotten about that plot I was growing at Rosewood Manor?”

“So, Mr. Clark, does this mean you’re backing out?” Harrison’s expression was calm as he sat in a relaxed posture, yet the sheer force of his presence was suffocating.
The negotiation teams on both sides were on edge, the air crackling with tension.
Marlon, a man in his forties or fifties, sat opposite him. He knew that this decision would make a powerful enemy of Mr. Harrison Lancaster, but the thought of the medicinal herbs Barry had promised gave him the strength to withstand the pressure.
He forced a smile. “Mr. Harrison Lancaster, you jest. This is hardly backing out. Before the contract is signed, anything can happen. I’ve simply discovered some issues on my end that prevent us from cooperating. I hope you can understand.”
Harrison’s eyes narrowed, a cold glint flashing within them. His last shred of patience was wearing thin when Logan knocked and entered, leaning down to whisper a few words in his ear.
A flicker of surprise crossed the man’s stern features. A moment later, he said, “Let her in.”
Shortly after, Anastasia walked into the conference room.
Seeing her, everyone from both sides couldn’t help but wonder what she was doing there.
“Come here,” Harrison’s voice softened considerably.
Anastasia walked over and sat down beside him, her gaze sweeping across the table to identify Marlon.
Without a word of preamble, she asked directly, “Mr. Clark, what kind of medicinal herbs are you looking for?”

He was surprised. “Mr. Harrison Lancaster, and this is?”
Harrison replied coolly, “A member of my negotiation team.”
As he spoke, he noticed Anastasia seemed a bit thirsty and pushed his own glass of water toward her.
He had drunk from it, but Anastasia didn’t mind at all. She turned to him with a
radiant smile, picked up the glass, and took a large gulp.
Marlon, who had witnessed this, was speechless.
After a moment of shock, he replied to Anastasia evasively, “I’m afraid I don’t know what you’re talking about, Miss.”
“Mr. Clark, why bother with pretenses at this point? I heard the herbs you’re looking for haven’t been successfully cultivated for years. Are you certain the herbs the other party is offering you are even viable. You wouldn’t want to suffer a double loss, would you?”
Marlon’s heart skipped a beat.
