Harrison, on the other hand, had guessed what she was up to the moment her eyes started to sparkle with mischief, so he didn’t intervene.

“Ana…” Marina started to say, wanting to stop her. While Anastasia had a point, Marina was a proud woman and didn’t want any of Ryan’s money.

But Anastasia took her arm and said indignantly, “Mother, am I wrong? If I don’t fight for this, who knows who Father’s money will end up with!”

She gave Marina a subtle look and then shot another contemptuous glance at Susan.

A thought struck Marina, and she vaguely understood Anastasia’s goal, so she said nothing more.

Feeling insulted, Susan’s eyes reddened as she defended herself. “Anastasia, you think too little of me! I know many people assume I’m with Ryan for his money, but I’ve never been. I only love him for who he is!”

“Even if Ryan didn’t have a penny to his name, I would still be with him. I would stand by his side, unwavering, no matter how much scorn I have to endure!”

“Is that so?” Anastasia immediately turned to Ryan. “Father, did you hear that? Mrs. Young said she scoffs at the idea of taking your money. If you give them any more, you’d just be insulting her, wouldn’t you?!”

Susan’s expression froze. She was about to speak when Ryan said, “I know what to do.”

Glancing at the man beside her, she felt reassured.

She trusted Ryan.

“Let’s go,” Ryan said to his wife.

Marina turned and walked out the door without a second’s hesitation.

That evening, Anastasia learned the outcome. Marina and Ryan had finalized their divorce. Furthermore, Ryan was to move out of the Lancaster family home for good

It wasn’t just about living elsewhere. He could no longer operate under the Lancaster family name, and he would lose all the privileges that came with it.

And, he had transferred all of his assets to Harrison!

He didn’t even keep the money in his bank accounts, aside from what was needed

for Carter’s medical bills!

Anastasia was stunned when she heard.

She had just said a few things on a whim. Did her words really have that much power?!

Though divorced, Marina had

returned to the family home and was there for dinner. She smiled faintly and said to Anastasia, “Harrison didn’t want the things he gave, so I’ll hold onto them for him for now. I guess

you were right,”

If my son doesn’t want it, should we let him give it away to raise someone else’s children?”

Anastasia nodded in solemn agreement.
