Chapter 689
How could she just lie there like that with three men in the room?
“Gordon, you’re fired. Pack your things and leave the Lancaster Group,” Harrison
said flatly.
“Mr. Lancaster?!” Gordon’s face went white.
Harrison ignored him and turned to Logan. “Have the lounge thoroughly cleaned later. Throw out anything that needs to be thrown out.”
Logan bowed his head. “Yes, sir.”
Finally, Harrison walked over to Anastasia, his voice softening. “Why did you come here?”
Anastasia’s cheeks puffed out in a pout. “I came to pick you up from work.” She knew this wasn’t Harrison’s fault-he had no idea Crystal had snuck in—but the image of that woman wrapped in his towel was deeply unsettling. She let out an indignant huff.
“I don’t know her well,” Harrison explained without hesitation, taking her hand. “You’re not going to be angry with me because of her, are you, Ana?”
“No Anastasia mumbled, her anger deflating. It wasn’t his fault, and she couldn’t bear to be angry with him. So, her frustration found another target. “I needed Logan to come down and get me personally. How did she just waltz in?”
That was the question. Harrison’s gaze turned cold, and he had Logan investigate immediately.
Soon, the head of security was standing before Harrison, practically in tears. “Mr. Lancaster, Ms. Lancaster said she was your sister, Mr. Ryan’s daughter. We didn’t dare stop her!”
Just then, Crystal emerged from the lounge, now fully dressed.
She immediately adopted a guilty expression. “It was my fault. I forced them to let me in. If you’re going to blame anyone, blame me. Don’t get them in trouble
Harrison didn’t even look at her. He issued an order to Logan: “Replace the entire security team. And let the new team know that if they ever let any unauthorized people in again.: they will face the consequences.”
His complete dismissal was a public humiliation for Crystal. The security chief, desperate, cried out, “Ms. Lancaster! You promised you’d take full responsibility if there was any trouble! I can’t lose my job! Please, ask Mr. Lancaster to reconsider!” Cóntent
Crystal’s face burned. She had said that, but she never imagined Harrison would be
so unforgiving. She couldn’t even defend herself, let alone anyone else.
Seeing Crystal remain silent, the security chief grew more agitated. “Ms. Lancaster, you can’t just abandon me!”
“I Crystal started.
“Someone get these irrelevant people out of here,” Harrison commanded. ɪꜰ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡᴀɴᴛ ᴛᴏ ʀᴇᴀᴅ ᴍᴏʀᴇ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs, ᴘʟᴇᴀsᴇ ᴠɪsɪᴛ.net
Security guards entered and forcibly removed both the chief and Crystal from the office. The commotion didn’t go unnoticed. Employees peeked out of their offices watching in shock as Crystal was practically thrown out of the building.
“What’s going on?” someone whispered.
“Isn’t that Ms. Lancaster? I heard Mr. Lancaster adores her. Who would dare to kick her out?”
“I don’t think she’s his sister. Not by blood, anyway. I heard she was being groomed to be his future wife
The company group chat was buzzing until someone posted a new message. “Everyone stop gossiping! Where are you getting this nonsense? She’s not his sister or his future wife. Ms. Lancaster has no connection to Mr. Lancaster at all! He’s already married!”
