Chapter 909
Anastasia coolly withdrew her gaze.
Why did Mary hate her so much? It had to be because of Alice.
How ridiculous. Harrison was the one who had dealt with Alice, and yet, with him standing right beside her, Mary didn’t dare to even glance his way, let alone show any resentment.
Instead, she—the actual victim in all this—had become the target of Mary’s hatred simply because she was weaker than Harrison.
Curling her lip in distaste, Anastasia took Harrison’s arm and left the Lawson estate.
When they arrived home, they were surprised to see someone at the gate whom they hadn’t seen in a long time-Susan Young.
Susan looked even more disheveled than the last time they’d seen her, her eyes were bloodshot, and she was pleading with a servant, who remained unmoved and was coldly trying to send her away.
Anastasia walked over. “What’s going on p>
Just as the servant was about to answer, Susan suddenly rushed forward, not toward Anastasia, but toward Harrison behind her.
“Mr. Harrison Lancaster! Please, tell me who the Health Virtuoso who cured you is… I really, really need to find them p>
The Health Virtuoso?
Anastasia’s expression immediately became complicated.
Harrison’s expression was indifferent. “Why are you looking for them p>
Susan lowered her head, her eyes red. “Lennon… Lennon is sick. I’ve taken him to other doctors, but they all say there’s nothing they can do… But the Health Virtuoso, if she could cure your illness, Mr. Harrison Lancaster, then she can definitely cure Lennon’s p>
As she spoke, a glimmer of hope lit up her eyes.
Anastasia understood.
So, Lennon Lancaster was sick. No wonder Susan was finally willing to lower her head in front of her hubby.
Before, she’d always called him “Harrison so casually, as if she were from his mother’s generation, completely oblivious to her ow Standing
But she had no intention of treating Lennon!
She gave Harrison’s hand a subtle tug.
Harrison squeezed her hand in return and said directly to Susan, “I have nothing to tell you p>
Without another glance, he led Anastasia toward the house.
“Mr. Harrison Lancaster! Please-” Susan ran after them. “No matter what, Lennon is still your brother p>
Hearing that, Anastasia was at a loss for words. Was Susan afraid her hubby might actually soften up?
Sure enough, Harrison’s expression turned frigid. He ordered the servant, “Get her out of here p>
As the servant dragged her away, Susan’s expression shifted from desperation to pure resentment, all traces of pleading gone.
“Harrison! You have such a cruel heart! Will you only be happy when Lennon is dead p>
Anastasia’s face went cold. She turned back. Even if your son dies, what does that have to do with my hubby? Susan, you are truly
disgusting. You righteously
destroyed someone else’s family,
and now you’re righteously blaming others because your ownsonnight die p>
“If Lennon really dies, anyone who doesn’t know better will think my hubby killed him p>
Then she said to the servant, “Throw her out! And don’t ever let her in again p>
With that, she pulled Harrison and strode into the house.
Harrison looked at the indignant woman beside him and couldn’t help but smile. “She’s an insignificant person. Why get so worked up p>
He never gave Susan a second thought, so nothing she said could ever affect his mood.
Anastasia puffed out her cheeks and huffed. “How could I not be angry
when she said those thing, net
you? A person like her… it’s no wonder she raised a son like Learon t wonder what kind of illness he has that regular doctors can’t treat. But I guess this is just karma p>
Two days later, Anastasia went to see Bruno, and he had something to tell her.
