He motioned for one of the men behind him to step forward and examine Lennon.
“Bar-Barnett?” a tearful voice suddenly called out. It was Crystal, cowering in the
corner.

After witnessing Anastasia’s brutality, she was filled with regret and terror.
She used to think only Harrison was terrifying, but it turned out the woman he’d found was just as scary.
She didn’t know what Anastasia was planning, but with their phones confiscated and reinforcements called in, she knew it couldn’t be good.
But when she saw that the newcomer was Barnett, a spark of hope ignited in her eyes.
She had seen Barnett before and knew he was Harrison’s friend. But unlike Harrison, Mr. Austin was gentle and kind. She’d heard he’d dedicated years to charity work. He had to be a good person!
She scrambled toward him. “Barnett, help me! Anastasia is going to kill us!”
Barnett nonchalantly sidestepped her.
“And you are?”
“Barnett, it’s me, Crystal! You must have seen me before. Harrison is practically my family. Please, you have to help me—”
Barnett didn’t reply, instead looking questioningly at Anastasia.
Anastasia sneered at Crystal.
