“Of course, I can leave,” Anastasia said calmly. “But I can assure you, given your mother’s condition, I’m likely the only one who can help. Are you certain you don’t need me?”
Anastasia wasn’t boasting. She dared to say this because she had encountered this exact illness in her past life.
At the time, she hadn’t met the patient in person, only hearing about a case where doctors all over the country had failed to find a cure. Eventually, someone had reached out to her through Penelope.
She had studied the case diligently for over two weeks and had finally come up with a treatment plan.

When Bruno contacted her this time, he hadn’t known the nature of Mrs. West Sr.’s illness, so she hadn’t made the connection. It was only after arriving and learning the specifics of the situation that it all clicked into place.
But to Cheryl, her words sounded ridiculous.
How could an unknown young woman dare to make such a grand claim? She wasn’t afraid of making a fool of herself!
“You needn’t worry about that, Ms. Sterling!” she said curtly.
She turned to her mother. “Mom, I know a truly brilliant doctor. I’ve already contacted her, and she’s agreed to come treat you. We shouldn’t let just anyone experiment on you! What if they make things worse?”
Her mother hesitated for a moment, then agreed, offering an apologetic look to Anastasia.
Anastasia gave a serene smile. “It’s quite all right. In that case, I’ll be on my way.”
She didn’t linger or argue. If the patient and their family didn’t want her treatment, there was no reason to force the issue.
She gathered her things and left. Nelson had a maid see her out, then immediately turned to Cheryl. “Who is this brilliant doctor you mentioned?”
“It’s quite a coincidence, actually. Her name is Queena! You’ve probably heard of her, right?”
Nelson was taken aback. “Queena? The renowned medical prodigy?”
“That’s right, the very same!” Cheryl said with a proud smile. “I consider her a friend.
I have a great deal of admiration for her.”
“Although she’s also young, she’s
nothing like that Ms. Sterling.” Cheryl shook her head. “It’s not that I’m judging a book by its cover, but if someone is truly skilled, how could they be completely unknownin our circles? Everyone knows Queena’s reputation as a ‘medical prodigy!”
Nelson nodded in agreement. Queena’s fame was so widespread that even he had heard of her, and he had no reason to doubt her abilities.
