A few of her followers grumbled in disappointment. “Oh no, just a minute slower and it would’ve been yours, Alice!”
Sandra narrowed her eyes at Alice, her suspicions clearly still lingering.
In the lounge-
“Mr. Harrison Lancaster, here’s the dress for your wife!” Bing said proudly. “It was tailored exactly to her measurements. It’ll show off her beauty perfectly—”
He glanced at Anastasia. “Actually, to be honest, Mrs. Lancaster is flawless as it is, but this gown will simply make her even more dazzling-unforgettable, truly.” Anastasia blinked. So this was the legendary Master Bing, and even he knew how to flatter?
She was still silently scoffing when the staff brought in the dress. Instinctively, she turned to look—and her breath caught in her throat.
For a long moment, she just stared, until a gentle male voice sounded at her ear. “Do you like it?”
“Mm!!” Anastasia nodded vigorously, spun around, and threw her arms around Harrison. “I love it!!”
She looked up at him, her face bright with a radiant smile, and pressed a kiss to his chin. “Thank you, darling!”
She’d never seen a dress so beautiful. And knowing Harrison had commissioned it just for her made her heart feel so light it could float away.
Seeing the starlight in her eyes, Harrison’s dark gaze softened with unmistakable affection. He couldn’t help himself-he leaned down and gently kissed her eyelids.
“It’s as beautiful as your eyes.”
In fact, when Bing had first asked him about the theme for the dress, Harrison’s mind had gone instantly to her impossibly lovely eyes.
