Meanwhile, at the Global Harmony Medical Institute headquarters, the practical assessment was underway.

The assessment was divided into several sections: herb identification, prescription formulation, and hands-on patient diagnosis.

Herb identification was the easiest part, and diagnosis posed little challenge for Anastasia. The prescription formulation, however, was the most difficult. One of the formulas was ancient and obscure, and many candidates couldn’t assemble it even with hints, leaving them to stand anxiously before the rows of herbs with their small, white cloth-lined baskets.

It was worth noting that this section was not only the hardest but also had the most stringent conditions.

There were twenty-one candidates, but the supply of herbs was limited. For instance, one of the herbs in front of Anastasia had only seven portions available.

This meant that if a candidate hesitated for too long and that particular herb was taken by others, they wouldn’t be able to complete the formula if it turned out to be a necessary ingredient.

The pressure made everyone anxious, yet no one dared to act rashly. Instructors stood by, watching closely. Once an herb was picked up, it was considered a final choice and could not be put back.

Anastasia, however, remained calm. She didn’t move when the others did, continuing to stand still and think.

Lost in her own thoughts, she didn’t notice a familiar figure appear in the distance.

Mr. Jerome stood beside Harrison, following the man’s gaze to the motionless Anastasia. He couldn’t help but shake his head.
