Chapter 519

**Rosewood Manor.**
Now in possession of her mother’s inheritance and her grandmother’s assets, Anastasia was officially a very wealthy woman. Her main focus, however, was on Unison Pharma and the Green Thumbs Botanical Research Institute. The latter was key to finding a cure for Harrison.
Mr. Brennan had been surprisingly prompt. The day after he agreed, his people contacted her to begin the handover. She found it strange that he had relinquished control so easily after holding on for so many years. She had assumed he had other plans. Shaking off her suspicions, she was about to visit the institute when a call came from Mr. Lynn. Regan’s people had actually resigned.
Nearly half the company’s staff was gone. The remaining executives were in a panic.
“Don’t worry,” she assured him. “I’ll handle it.”
She hung up and went to find Harrison. “Hubby, can I borrow some people?”
He was on the phone by the window in his study. He wrapped an arm around her waist without breaking his conversation, quickly finished his call, and then turned his full attention to her. “Borrow what kind of people?”
She explained the situation at Unison Pharma. “It won’t be for long. Just until we can hire new employees.”
“It’s already been taken care of,” Harrison said calmly. “Logan told me about the situation.”
Anastasia looked up at him, surprised and delighted. “Hubby, you’re the best!”
He stroked her hair and led her to the sofa. “The team should be in Fairhaven by now. Talk to Logan; he’ll handle the arrangements. And if your company needs them, they can stay at Unison Pharma permanently.”
“Okay!” she said, beaming. She stood on her toes and kissed his chin. “Thank you, Hubby!” Then she spun around and dashed off to find Logan.
Harrison, who had been hoping for a longer embrace, was left reaching for empty air. He shook his head, a fond smile on his lips.
As Harrison had said, Logan had everything under control. “The team is ready, Ma’am,” he said as soon as she explained. “They can start tomorrow.”
“Excellent,” she replied. “Have them report to the office in the morning.”
She said it casually, assuming Harrison had simply sent over a few competent managers to fill the gaps.
She had no idea that as soon as she left, Logan made a call.
“Get ready. You’re starting tomorrow.”
“So soon?” a surprised voice replied. “We just got to Fairhaven. The company is Unison Pharma, right? looked it up. It’s not a small
company, but it’s not exactly one

“You looked up the company,” Logan said dryly. “Did you look up who owns it?”

“That’s right,” Logan confirmed. “It’s our lady’s company. So here’s a word of advice: take this seriously. If you screw this up… heh.”

The office was noticeably emptier than before.
She narrowed her eyes. “Have the people who resigned yesterday already left?”
Ms. Evelyn, who had come down to greet her, replied through gritted teeth, “Not ᴛʜɪs ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪs ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ʙʏ.net
yet. They’re upstairs making a big show of packing their things.”
With Regan fired and so many people resigning at once, the remaining employees were already on edge. The departing staff were packing loudly, making sure everyone knew they were leaving it was a deliberate act of
demoralization, and even the most loyal employees were starting to worry that the company was about to collapse.
