Chapter 884
“Anastasia p>
“Juliet?” Turning her head, Anastasia was surprised to see her. “What are you doing here p>
Juliet moved affectionately to her side. “Letitia… I mean, Yolanda brought me p>
Following her pointed finger, Anastasia saw Yolanda linking arms with Marcus, talking to the Lawsons.
Just then, they noticed them as well. Marcus smiled and exchanged a few words with Morgan before leading Yolanda over.
“Harrison, I thought you weren’t coming,” Marcus said with a grin.
But seeing Anastasia beside him, he understood why Harrison was here.
While Marcus spoke with Harrison, Anastasia’s gaze fell on Yolanda.
“Juliet mentioned that Ms. Lockwood brought her here? Juliet is quite shy and has few friends, so thank you for bringing her out, Ms. Lockwood p>
Meeting her gaze, Yolanda felt an inexplicable pressure. She gave a strained laugh. “Juliet and I have been friends for a while. It’s what I should do p>
Anastasia nodded and said no more.
Later, when no one was looking, she pulled Juliet aside and whispered a warning, “Be careful here today. Don’t trust Yolanda too much. If anything happens, find me immediately, understand p>
Juliet was surprised. Did Anastasia mean that Yolanda would try to harm her?
She didn’t want to doubt her friend, but she trusted Anastasia more than she trusted Yolanda.
So she nodded obediently. “I understand p>
Seeing that she listened, Anastasia relaxed slightly. She led her back to Harrison’s side, only to see two more people with Harrison and Marcus.
One was Naomi, and the other was a young man with features similar to hers.
The man was strikingly handsome but had a slight limp. It wasn’t noticeable when he stood still, but it became apparent when he moved.
He held a glass of wine and seemed to smile a lot, but Anastasia knew just how dark and twisted he was on the inside a complete opposite his feigned appearance!
-She recognized this man. It was Naomi’s brother, Timothy.
In her past life, she had encountered Timothy twice. He had approached her out of nowhere and asked if she would be willing to leave Harrison to be with him.
As she was lost in thought, Timothy, who had been talking to Harrison, suddenly looked over at her, his gaze lingering.
Timothy’s first look was one of awe; his second was one of undisguised aggression.
Anastasia frowned, hiding her dislike as she walked over and linked her arm with Harrison’s. “Hubby p>
Timothy paused for a second, then
smiled. “So this is the famous Mrs. Lancaster? No wonder you keep her hidden away like a precious
treasure, Harrison. If she were mine,
wouldnt let anyone else see her
either p>
If someone else had said it, it might have been a simple compliment, but coming
from Timothy, the words carried a different, unsettling weight.
The atmosphere around Harrison instantly dropped several degrees.
He shot Timothy a look.
It was just a single glance, but Timothy felt an immense pressure, a cold sweat breaking out on his back. Still, the smile never left his face.
