“How is that possible?!” Queena blurted out.

Realizing others were staring at her, she quickly composed herself and tried to explain, “How can there be two real ones! Anastasia, do you even understand what kind of gathering this is? Not only are you not qualified to be invited, but you have two invitations? What a joke!”

Just as she finished, a displeased voice cut in—

“Why is it a joke? The invitations I sent out myself could be fake?”

Aubrey stood there with his hands behind his back and a sour look on his face. He sized Queena up. “Aren’t you the one who came up to me last time to badmouth Anastasia?”

“You can’t compete with her wealth, you can’t compete with her skill, so you resort to these cheap tricks to slander her. And now you’re even more outrageous, confidently declaring her invitations are fake!”

“I seem to recall you telling me Anastasia was your sister. Are you really her sister?” Aubrey’s tirade left Queena completely stunned.

She had heard he had a bad temper, but she never expected him to unleash it on her like this!

Feeling the shocked and disdainful stares from those around her, Queena’s face burned with humiliation. She wished the ground would swallow her whole.
