Chapter 539
But Anastasia shook her head. “No need. If they want to terminate the contract, then let them.”
Mr. Lynn was shocked. “Miss, please don’t be rash! The Dempsey Group’s supply chain is crucial. If we lose it, we’ll have no raw materials!” ᴛʜɪs ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪs ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ʙʏ
“Who says?” Anastasia raised an eyebrow. “If there are no materials in Fairhaven, there are other places to look, aren’t there?”
Mr. Lynn’s heart skipped a beat. “Other places? You mean
Just as Anastasia was about to speak, her phone rang.
She glanced at the caller ID and smiled. She held up the phone for Mr. Lynn to see. “Well, speak of the devil.”
She answered the call.
Two minutes later, she hung up and instructed Mr. Lynn, “Have someone prepare to welcome our new supplier.”
“Supplier? What supplier?” he asked instinctively.
“Our raw materials supplier, of course,” Anastasia said calmly. “They’re coming from Riverton.”
Mr. Lynn was both stunned and overjoyed.
Ten minutes later, Sean also received the news. He looked at Anastasia with amazement. “I was also planning to look for a supplier in Riverton, but I never imagined you would have already taken care of it before I even started.”
And so quickly, too. It was clear Anastasia had either anticipated this or, more likely, planned for it. Her ability to think ten steps ahead was a stark contrast to her bright, innocent appearance. Even Sean was secretly impressed.
He then asked tentatively, “Ma’am, do you know someone from the Austin family
in Riverton?”
He hadn’t expeeted the new supplier
to be from the Austin family, Riverton’s renowned dynasty of medical experts. As far as he knew, his boss’s wife had been born and raised in Fairhaven. How could she have connections with them? But if she didn’t, why would the Austins go out of their way to come to Fairhaven for a company like Unison Pharma?
Anastasia met his puzzled gaze. “Whether I do or not, you’ll find out soon enough.”
She chose

because it was complicated. The truth was, she had asked her teacher for help, and he had agreed
without hesitation. They had always communicated through an online forum, and he had never asked about her identity. But she had revealed enough information this time that he had likely figured it out.
Regardless, securing a new supplier had been part of her plan all along.
*I wonder what the people waiting for me to come begging are thinking right now?
* Anastasia leaned back in her chair, a pleased smile on her face.
Sean looked at her, suddenly feeling she was an enigma. The bright, pretty exterior was just a facade. His perception of her began to shift.
Then, his gaze fell to her feet. “Huh? Ma’am, why are you wearing flats today? The heels you wore before were much more commanding.”
Anastasia glanced at him. “Oh, the heels were commanding, but Mr. Lancaster won’t let me wear them. I scraped my heel the other day, and he’s been putting medicine on it for me.”
Sean was speechless.
At that moment, the people on Anastasia’s mind-Chasel, Jonas, Rose, the other researchers, and Lauren-were all gathered together, celebrating the “success” of Jonas’s brilliant plan.
They were all smugly anticipating the moment Anastasia would come crawling back to them.
