Chapter 795
What did the dean think?
The dean’s first thought was to gauge Mr. Lancaster’s opinion.
Truthfully, he didn’t care whether Yves stayed or left. The young man’s behavior had left a sour taste in his mouth, so Harrison’s mood was the priority.
Harrison didn’t know what Anastasia was up to, but one look at her mischievous expression told him she was brewing some trouble. Naturally, he wouldn’t oppose her.
He nodded. “That’s a reasonable solution.”
And so, Yves escaped expulsion and was allowed to stay.
But he wasn’t satisfied with the outcome and pulled a long face. “Queena…”
Queena shot him a warning glance.
He’d been caught red-handed by the dean. This was already a good outcome! What more did he want?
“The results are in! Anastasia has the highest total score in the practical assessment!”
While others were preoccupied with Yves’s case, the judges had been tallying the scores. The moment the results were out, they announced them with pleasant surprise.
“Anastasia is first?!” Dean Jerome was truly taken aback.
He was already surprised when Anastasia achieved a perfect score in the formulation section, but to think she was first overall it seemed he had indeed misjudged her earlier.
The judges also looked at Anastasia with admiration.
Anastasia wasn’t one to get complacent. In the past, she could remain composed in such situations, but this time, seeing Harrison beside her, she couldn’t help but straighten her back and look at him with sparkling eyes.
Seeing her proud, eager little expression, a hint of a smile crossed Harrison’s eyes.
“I heard Anastasia also placed first in the written exam, right? It seems that, barring any surprises, Anastasia will be the top candidate of this entire assessment!” one of the professors said with a smile.
Immediately, people around them began to congratulate Anastasia. Though they were competitors, her overwhelming skill was truly admirable.
However, just as the atmosphere was turning celebratory, Queena suddenly spoke
up.
“If I recall correctly, doesn’t our
elnet
Institute have a rule that anyone
who has practice
privately, regardless
well they
Score, is ineligible for admission…”
Anastasia’s eyelids twitched as she looked over.
She knew it. How could Queena possibly stay quiet?
Queena’s words left everyone stunned.
“There is such a rule. Queena, why bring that up now?”
Queena put on a conflicted and troubled expression. Finally, she glanced at Anastasia and, as if ака
having made a difficult decision net
said, “Although Anastasia is my sister for the sake of fairness and integrity, there are some things I know that I cannot hide for her.”
Then, she turned to Anastasia. “Anastasia, you treated Mrs. West Sr. a few days ago, didn’t you?”
The professors instantly understood her implication and turned to look at Anastasia.
If Anastasia had indeed treated a patient, then according to the Institute’s rules, even with the top score, she would be disqualified!
Anastasia hadn’t expected the news of her treating the West family to remain a complete secret, so she had already prepared a response and wasn’t the least bit flustered.
However, before she could even speak, Dean Jerome suddenly announced-
“That rule did indeed exist, but it has been abolished for this year’s intake!”
Queena whirled around. “Abolished? When did that happen?”
Suddenly, she saw the imposing figure of Harrison beside the dean and understood everything. “Dean…”
“That’s enough!” Dean Jerome
interrupted her with a frown.
“Queena, why are you in such a
hurry? The rule has been abolished,
which means your sister Can the Institute Aren’t you happy for her?”
